For $100 - $200 better, how do you recover from a -$1,800 figure?

Thanks Innco. I forgot to add that I'm limiting my bets that I bet on hunches. I still make small bets on them. But I'm concentrating more on my system plays that have worked for me in the past and also following a couple good cappers.

Good luck!

I just went through a similar thing, just not as much money. I lost $800 over a few days. I lost it by making bets out of my character, and chasing. I took a few days off and came back fresh a couple of days ago. Now I'm back on course, making the safer bets that give me a better chance at winning. You can get it back, don't rush it. Like everyone has been saying, reduse your bets and make the smart plays. GL to you, I hope things work out for the best.

I did it with Kentucky -3. Finally completely recovered. Thanks for the replies and advice.

4 plays - 1 on Thursday and 3 yeaterday came from a new poster Elatonin. 1 game from me with Milwaukee +2, which they almost lost in the last remaining minutes/seconds.

Much appreciated.

Did you lower your bets, raise them, what exactly did you do? This is usually when gamblers hit the wall and lose more....Anyone who said bet more or bet parlays is losing money, I guarantee it.

My advice would have been to take a break and perhaps save the money elsewhere and then come back in...it works for me, if I get down big, I try and earn it back elsewhere....I realize I'm not typical but it works for me, I consider my entire money saved as my bankroll.

Thanks for asking. In the beginning, I went 2 days without wagering. Mainly, I play Basketball (N.B.A, Totals), Soccer (Totals), small amount on NCAA (Basketball), no parley, teasers, etc.

1) Completely stopped playing Soccer (Under) all games were going over.
2) Stopped playing Totals in the NBA. Started playing more sides.
3) Dedicated myself in viewing more past NCAA Basketball games prior to making my plays.
4) Last, but not least. Spent more time viewing the handicappers here at RX in the last view days.
Extra - Placed 2 Garlics on each side of laptop. Sounds funny, but I did it.
Extra - Continued to play the same 100 and 200 per game.

In respect to some replies that stated play parleys. I always believe that winning 1 game is hard enough, why put yourself in a situation where you have to win 2, 3 or even 4 games.

Thanks.

you should've only been betting 100 dollars max. that's 2 percent of your bankroll. Dubpoet said you need at least 3000 to bet 200 bucks a game. that's 6.6% of your bankroll per play- too much. If you don't think you yourself have an advantage picking games, then you may want to tail some of the posters on this site. choptalk for bases, spreadbeater and bznofx and gynecologist for basketball, oh and of course there's always ace ace, that guy is the man

About those parlays, you are totally right. I played them in the past when I lost everyday. (wonder why I was losing?) It fits into one basic rule of betting, if you can win a whole lot by betting a little, it's a sucker bet. Nobody in the casino or bookie business is going to give away thousands of $$$ that easily to someone risking hundreds. Just look at last night in the NBA, I'm sure there were some parlays that counted on Detroit easily winning against NY, look what happened. You did the smart thing by staying away from those bets.

Innco:

Glad to hear you're doing better at this game.

I haven't had a losing day since getting my head out of my ass and limiting my own hunches (about a week). Thanks for asking.
