Payton not scoring was what I remember most..score was like 46-10 or something and no Walter!!??

I'll never forgive Ditka for not getting the ball to Payton when they got near the endzone and instead, gives it to the Fridge. The guy played with crappy teams his whole life and he stiffs him in the big game.

New England actually led 3-0. Payton fumbled on the Bears opening drive. After three incompletions, New England kicked a field goal. The Bears scored the next 46 points. A late Fryar TD made the final 46-10.

New England had minus yardage in the 1st half until a last second up-for-grabs completion put them in the black.

Regarding Payton not scoring, Ditka later expressed regret. His only explanation was that he thought the Bears would score again after the Perry TD.
