You can spin it as long as your hand doesn't leave the handle. Basically you can roll it across your hand and get a good 3 revolutions of spin.

well, WVU, in foosball, that wouldn't technically be "spinning." You know what I'm talkin about, the people that freely spin the bar as much as they can and it makes that annoying sound.
