Seriously. What a joke! I still can't believe anyone would waste their money on this nonsense. McGregor had no business being in a ring vs any boxer (let alone, one of the greatest boxers of all time). It's not what he does. And just looking at 15 seconds of any of those clips showed that he didn't belong. He's not a boxer. And you don't just learn all the nuances of boxing with a few months of training. This was simply a money grab and there were plenty of people out there that were happy to drop a bunch on amateur time. I guess people will pay for anything nowadays.

Can't imagine anyone in their right mind would actually wager on McGregor

I couldn't either, and yet, I think the ticket count was like 10/1. A lot of stupid people out there (some trying to use the Buster Douglas/Mike Tyson analogy). There's a big difference between someone that has never had a boxing match in his life with a guy who was at least trained to be a boxer and happened to get Tyson at the perfect time (losing his mentor and all the other nonsense that was going on at the time). I was in Vegas on Wed/Thurs and was laughing at some of the people walking up to the sports book and the conversations I was privy to listen too (and all their justifications as to why McGregor was a good wager).

The biggest joke is boxing judges and its why nobody takes boxing seriously. In my mind this fight was 5 rounds Maywether and 4 round Connor after 9 rounds. You could argue it was 6 to 3. However, two of the official scorers had it 8 rounds to 1. They were giving rounds to Mayweather in rounds he landed literally like 3 punches and never engaging once. People think this fight was a sham, no no. Boxing in general is a sham
