If last nights game was any indication of how Big 12 teams really are against decent Defenses, Oklahoma may be in for a long night. Look at last night, Texas struggled....Look at Mizzou they struggled against a Northwestern D. and Texas Tech and Ole Miss, whata a joke! Tech plays a decent D which made Harrell look like he was a freshman again and Tech likewise made Ole Miss QB Snead look like a Heisman cantidate. Lets just add in Oklahoma St.s loss to Oregon as well. Big 12 may be able to throw the ball all over their own conference, but not against anyone else. Oklahoma will get their licks, b/c they pass the ball 60 times a game, but the 25+ yard plays will be stopped by Floridas D. Im calling for a 10 pt Florida Victory.

Oklahoma dismantled good defensive teams outside of their conference. I think people are looking too much into Mizzou, Okie St, and Tech. Northwestern is not a bad football team and Ole Miss is probably the 2nd best team in the SEC. Oregon started really clicking down the stretch and could have beaten a slew of good teams from any conference.

As far as last night's game goes, I saw two good teams play one down to the wire and the team with the ball last won. No way will I discredit the Big 12 or Texas for pulling one out against a good Ohio St. team.

Hopefully Thursday's game will be as good as last night's...

Other then TCU what good defensive team did they play? Washington, Chatta, or Cinncy? :nohead: I don't like Fla's defense either, but to say Okla played against good defensive teams is a bit much.

I agree UF will roll against OK. Team speed always wins out.. This game will play out like 2 years ago when Buckeyes couldn't compete with Gators speed and got hammered.

If you like UF, you might want to get your action in now as the line is moving upward. Most books have it a -4 now.

Hope is not a strategy.

I personally will be waiting for the line to keep moving with the public and swoop in at the last minute on OU. All these threads about this game are very similar to the threads about last nights game. The world was on Texas. I will take stoops to the bank.

1) When do you ever take stoops to the bank in big games. I dont care what they call him, he cant win em.

2) Urban Meyer is not exactly someone thats easily out coached. I see absolutely no advantage with Stoops over Meyer

Dude, "Stoops to the bank?" Stoops has taken his backers down the toilet the last few years in bowls.

Snead did abosultely nothing. He threw for 185 yards and 85 came on one pass.

You're going to totally lose your ass if you keep up with this public side bs. I've said it numerous times, there is RARELY a sharp/public side when it comes to Championship games at any level in any sport. I may be an idiot but I'll also be a winner come Thursday late night.

I was a total idiot taking LSU over Ohio State last year as well, yest another PUBLIC side. Wow, I must be on borrowed time.

Cincy's defense was ranked 26th in the country and last time I checked that would be considered good.

The powerful V-Tech offense had no problems moving the ball vs cincy, none whatsoever.

Arent most Bowl games historically public wins? I dont know the stats but id be interested to see the number if someone here has more time on their hands.

I like OK but their history and the history of bowl games makes me nervous, so I will probably parlay it...

public lost big in bowl games...

The only big public win was USC...Ga & Ks were also public wins but not as big.

...all other big public games lost ATS...TCU, CMU, Cal, Mizz, OKSt, BC, Bama, TxTch.

Good example!! V-Tech scored a whopping 20 points and Cincy's QB threw 4 picks :103631605

V-Tech had 400 yards of total offense with around 260 coming on the ground. I watched the entire game, V-Tech did whatever they wanted and had no trouble doing it.

Uconn has never heard of the forward pass and put up 40 on Cincy(albeit they threw a lot that game).

Cincy has 2 really good corners and 2 good defensive ends. The rest is trash.
