According to The Tallahassee Democrat Newspaper, Jimbo Fisher has agreed to an extension worth at least $44 million over the eight years of the deal (minimum $5.5 per year.) Fisher will receive $225,000 every two weeks until 2022. He is also eligible for additional money through incentives such as $1,200,000 for staying through the life of the contract. He has national championship incentive, winning ACC incentive, bowl incentive, team GPA incentive...plus how he blows his nose incentive.

I remember Jimbo when he was an assistant coach at Samford College in Birmingham. Guessing ole Jimbo's salary was $15,000 tops back then. He's certainly set for life now...good for him.

Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys..........money is in coaching.

He's the best of the Saban coaching tree.

I read Gator message boards regularly and it amuses me that rival fans (especially Gator fans) refuse to admit he is a great coach.

Fisher is among the best CFB coaches not named Meyer or Saban. He's up there with any of them. He can recruit, he can develop talent, he knows how to hire great assistants (he won the NC the same year he replaced 6 assistants....SIX! Let that sink in!). He's coached three 1st round QBs....plus Winston (so that will be 4 once he gets drafted).

I hate the guy....and I especially hate FSU. But they have a really good coach. He has shitty morals, but in this day and age of CFB no one really cares.

Well said Coach.

When Fisher was hired by FSU...I'm on record saying it was a bad hire. Man..was I wrong.

Jimbo uses Nick Saban's strategy/philosophy on recruiting to a tee and has really done well
in that part of the college game.

Jimbo (who the hell goes by the name Jimbo?......If they are an adult!) deserves whatever they are dumb enough to give him.
He looked like a complete shitbag ever time he covered up for Winnie's behavior.

No doubt he was a central figure in covering up any truth about the rape allegations. His effort there alone made their run to the BCS Championship possible. So..... pay him a bundle..... and reward him for leading this addition of the Criminoles!

He should star in a TV episode explaining how the part about great couches building strong character in young men....... none of that applies in his case.

Fisher brought over Satan's exact system for recruiting and developing players. Exact same. More and more coaches are starting to use his methods. Dabo Swinney has also adopted the same methods. it's why we've seen a marketable improvement out of Clemson for the last two years.

Right on Sooner about Dabo and his recruiting at Clemson which has been strong of late.

(Just a chuckle for our friend Packer...Jimbo and Dabo)

Most do not know Swinney was a walk on WR at Alabama who earned a scholarship and playing time.
He's well aware of the tradition of Bama and yes he visits Tuscaloosa on occasion.
