Seminole Tribe to begin sports betting at Florida casinos

Seminole Tribe leaders on Wednesday announced a plan to roll out sports betting at their casinos in December — a first step in what could be a major expansion of gambling in Florida triggered by a go-ahead from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Also, I think the Seminoles' lack of professionalism in keeping the public & customers up to date through all of this is an early sign of how sh!try their sportsbook will be operated

I remember when they opened up back in 21 (i think that was the year), i tried to sign up for the app and it was a pain in the ass. They were asking TOO MANY personal questions in which i didnt like.

A few friends had signed up and told me the juice was crazy. One of my friends told me that he was screwed on a payout which was eventually settled.

I dont live too far from the Coconut Creek casino. Hopefully they'll have craps there but afraid to see what their minimums would be.

The rumors about it starting soon could be false because the Seminole spokesman clearly said the announcement was only for in person and no further details on mobile for now

I believe they are holding off on mobile because even though the courts have shot down their opponents arguments and sided with the state & the Seminoles, they have also expressed concern as to whether or not making online wagers is legal

The state & Seminoles say that the Internet servers are based on Indian lands, which is where the wagers are actually being accepted

The opponents and possibly some judges think differently

Personally I think it's a no-brainer that wherever the servers are at is where the bets are ultimately taken

But common sense is lacking with some and of course opponents will use whatever they can

What a shame, no competition. I had a VIP host at Hard Rock Tampa and Hollywood for many years when I was more of a high-limit card &slot player; they'd give offers and free nights/comps and suites at Yankees spring training or Bucs/Rays games but def not like Vegas. I told the VIP host when she asked why I stopped coming as much that Vegas hosts and casino's just do more and she said "we don't have to, we have no competition." A big turn off from a former loyal custome but also true when there's no other game in town. They don't really have to try hard for their clients.

Glad they opened sports-betting for Florida but the Seminole tribe is very stingy, can't imagine them being too competitive with lines or offerings.
