Jumping ahead just a little but if one bets futures like I do, one needs to look ahead and have an idea of who would be favored if this BCS title matchup happens.
Any thoughts ?

It's a shame we can't see that Florida offense vs. the USC defense.

What a great game that would be. Line would be USC -3; no way FL would be favored in that game.

No way USC would be favored over Florida...even if the game was played in the fuking Rose Bowl....

VD - have you seen the USC stats on Defense? With a month to prepare for Tebow, I'd think USC would win pretty easily (as they have in every 'big' game the last few years).

UF/Oklahoma would be a good game too - but of the no-Defense variety.

I'm pretty sure that LVSC said if they had to set the line for USC/UF, that USC would be favored. I'll look for the link.

I have Florida at 15/1 to win it all and right now the only 2 teams I really don't want to meet is USC and Oklahoma. However I'm of the opinion that nobody is playing better football than Florida. Oklahoma just scored 61 points but almost forgotten is that their defense gave up 31 ! I doubt that USC would be favored by 3 over Florida. Great game but I don't see it happening. Let's assume that Oklahoma is choosen over Texas to play for the big 12 Championship and even if they lose to Missouri, I then think Texas would be choosen over USC on their strength of schedule.

I agree we're not going to see UF/USC - just think it's a shame.

FL gave up 19 at home to Div 2 Citadel.

USC, against RANKED opponents has given up 3, 10, and 3. I don't think they'd shut down Tebow - but no way UF scores more than 24-27 against that D. And USC should put up 30+.

Granted they always have a letdown against a weaker team, but in big/important games - nobody shows up like USC.

Top 3

Florida
USC 2 points behind
Oklahoma 3 points behind

Due to recent bowl history, USC or Florida would be a bigger favorite if they matched up over the Sooners.

Florida -3 or -3.5.
I kinda agree with your line. However in view of Texas moving up a spot in the just released USA poll, It's very possible that Texas might go to the big 12 championship game if Texas also move up in the Harris poll which should be out very soon ! Texas trailed Oklahoma 1397 to 1396 ! That one point just might decide this whole thing. Wonder if there are any hanging chads ? :lolBIG:

USC would be favored on a neutral field over anyone in the country. I'm 95% sure of that. They without a doubt have the most talent and any objective fan can see that.

Talent doesn't always win....heart and conviction will win a few....too bad we will never find out....Florida vs USC probably would have gone down as one of the great ones...

Bookmakers said USC would not be a dog to anyone in the country.
