Florida Marlins at Arizona Diamondbacks (7/9/09)

Florida Marlins (Even) at Arizona Diamondbacks 9:40 pm EST
Pick: Marlins (Even ML)

Units Risked: 2
One night after losing on the Phils under, we cashed in on our last play with the Dodgers over the Mets. Tonight we look for two straight after an off day yesterday. Tonight's play takes us out West where the Dbacks host the Marlins. The Marlins have been playing without their All Star shortstop and they have struggled without him.
They did salvage one game of the Giants series by winning in a blowout yesterday with Chris Volstad throwing a gem for them. Tonight they will look to end the winning streak which now sits at 5 games for the Dbacks.
Lefty Andrew Miller (3-4, 4.42) will head out to the mound for the Fish. The left-hander recorded his first win since June 6 on Saturday, giving up three runs and eight hits in 6 2/3 innings of a 5-3 victory over Pittsburgh.
Miller is 1-1 with a 2.29 ERA in three career starts against the Diamondbacks.
Some interesting trends tonight:

FLA are 7-3 in their last 10 games following a win.
Under is 7-3-1 in Millers last 11 starts overall.
I like Florida here for a second straight win. Yusmeiro Petit gets the ball for the Dbacks, and he was able to last just three innings against Colorado on Saturday. It was his first start since May 8 and was the first time in six outings the Diamondbacks had won one of his starts. I don't think he is quite there yet.
