There's a 90% chance that UF just takes everything. What can you do? I think all teams should quit now >:\ and I'm not even a gator fan.

what really outstanding team has UF played?

Georgia is close I guess, but their defense is sh!tty beyond compare. giving up 38 to UKy, 40+ to UF/Bama, 38 to LSU...

otherwise, how impressive is it that UF beat Vandy, Ark, Tenny, Hawaii, Miami....meh.

I suspect if they had to play the likes of UTexas, OU, TTech and OKSt they wouldnt come out undefeated.

Make no mistake that UF is a top 4 team, but the Gators have also feasted on a pretty easy schedule as teams like LSU and Georgia arent as good as we thought they were.

and if UF is so badassed...why did they lose to an unranked team? you dont see any of the top 5 Big12 teams doing that.

I'm a BIG XII fan... but ANY of our teams playing vs FLORIDA is a scary thought. You are right that FL has had an easy season but when it's crunch time and they're playing for pride and a big prize... those quick little SEC bastards will show up. The BIG XII isn't ready to reign supreme just yet IMO. We are having an unbelievably awesome season with only a few teams that are horrific in our conference but the elite are doing what they should be doing.

I'm gonna like seeing a BIG XII vs SEC championship game this year.

sdf you have to look a little deeper IMO. It's not necessarily who has Florida played, but LOOK at HOW Florida has played.

It's one thing to just win, but Florida is winning by a margin that has been seen only a time or two in SEC HISTORY. To win in any league by 30ppg is incredible. What's more impressive? Scoring 49 on UGA? Or holding them to 10pts? Hanging 51 on LSU? or blowing them out on National TV with UGA looming and while LSU was still undefeated before anyone had a lot of questions about them? Or how about the whole picture? Losing a tight, mistake filled game vs OM and then coming out from that ashheap and annihilating every team that gets in your way.

Now for Florida it's not just the SEC title. It's the National Championship. They are as focused as any UF team I have seen since I started following them as a kid in the mid 80s. They have offense AND defense (both admittedly with holes, but that's everyone). What they have that most teams don't have - leadership, deep emotional investment from the players, a professional attitude about practice and games, and key big time players - Harvin, Tebow, Spikes, Pounceys, Cunningham, Jenkins, Black, etc.

If UF beats Bama in Atlanta, people will jsut say Bama was overrated and UF still hasn't played anyone.

UF and Bama have played the same teams and other than OM, has looked a hell of a lot better than Bama in almost all of those games, and especially in the last 5-6 weeks.

The three teams who are peaking at the right time are Florida, Texas Tech and OU. And I think a NCG between these two conferences will be one of the better games that we've seen in the last few years.

Someone needs to get you a copy of Michigan/Florida from last year. Florida is very very good but not unbeatable. You have to be extremely physical on Defense. If you are not, you will get killed. Everyone looks at Alabama and says they will get killed. I say they have the best shot at beating Florida.

Alabama has 3 linebackers 250 pounds or better. Most match-ups with Tebow at Quarterback have him being larger than all 3 LB's. Physical play is the only thing to slow UF down. If they beat Alabama, they will crush the Big 12 opponent.

Alabama has a better shot than anyone. They are the only BCS team that plays Defense 1st.

Didn't UGA score 52 on LSU, so the arguement of them putting up 51 on LSU is wash.

Florida has a great team, but man, did everyone forget how unstoppable OU had been from 2003-2006 and then lay egg everytime.

Great teams don't lose at home to Ole Miss. It is completely different to lose on the road, but losing at home inexcusable.

Since the BCS has begun, only 3 out of 20 teams lost at home and still played for the title:

LSU in 2003 lost at home to Florida

Ohio State and LSU in 2007 both lost home games.

That is a pretty telling stat.

Why is everyone writing of Alabama, i used to think they were overrated but they look solid. Either way, Florida will be overbet in the SEC championship game which will inflate the line in Bama's favor. I'm on Bama in the SEC cg and think they have a good chance to win outright. Who the hell has Florida played? Let's not crown their ass yet people

texas is better than OU and they proved on the field.

PS, just because I live in Dallas, doesn't mean I am UT Fan. Personally, I hate UT and would rather see OU beat Texas every year.

Everyone gets so enamored by teams that out score teams by 20 and 30 points. We saw the samething in the NFL, NBA, and NHL playoffs last year.

Pats, Lakers and Pens, all played teams that were much better than them defensively and were promptly shown to the losers circle.

With RB Murray now 100% healthy, OU is running the ball much better than earlier in the season against Texas. And I think this would be the difference in the game if these two teams were to meet again.

First of all, Michigan was losing with 4 minutes to go. Second of all Michigan played the best game they had played in the year before and since. Third, Florida was STARTING 3 freshmen and a soph in the secondary 2 sophs on the DL (and two other terrible players), and 2 sophs and a frosh at LBer, 2 frosh and a soph on the OL. They also had a slew of injuries at DT and OL when that game rolled around.

You really think UF can't handle physical? UFs OL has punched LSU in the mouth the last two years. Their DL got handled last year in BR at night. It's all about focus with this team. If they are, whoever is opposite them is in trouble.

BTW - heavy LBers aren't necessarily a good thing.

I think they win the national title unless they play OU or USC in the title game. They would put up a great game against both, and both games would be great to watch. I'd give the slight edge to both USC and OU though. Texas/UF would be a great game too.

Yes, Murray is healthier now, but the problem that has plagued Oklahoma over the past 5 or 6 seasons is their blowout wins.

This may sound strange, but they never play close games and so when a game is tight going into the 4th quarter they struggle. They are easily one of the top 5 teams over the past 5 years, but when the game gets tight, so do they.

They had only 1 game that was in doubt going into the 4th quarter and they lost it. I just think knowing how to win makes a big difference.
