Anyone playing this game? I am leaning towards Florida and Beckett.

I think the Marlins are out of their element on the West Coast. It hasn't been a pretty road trip, and Beckett's starts away from home have been rocky. He's dominant at home, but he's struggling on the road. Weaver is originally from the LA area, he's pitching at home he's comfortable out there. I would say Dodgers or a no play. Beckett could pitch well today he's taken a lot of heat for not pitching well on the road and I think he's out to prove that wrong.

I think I may take a unit on Florida and the under just to get some action on it.

Beckett has given up 2 runs or less in 6 of his 8 starts. One of the two where he gave up more than 2 was when he gave up only 3 runs at San Diego in a 3-2 loss.

Weaver has pitched great of late. Should be a low scoring game.

Delgado is one strong Mo Fo...he just reached out with his arse going the other way and hit that out with just his arms to the opposite field. Wow.

Back to back...that doesn't help my under and I know it doesn't help all you guys on your Dodger's play. I'd be happy with a 4-2 Florida win.

I don't have the Dodgers. I have a unit on the under. And after hearing you out on here I actually made a small $20 bet on the Marlins for sh*ts and giggles. My units are $100, so it's a .20 unit of a play LOL. Maybe they'll hold on and I can grab some dinner.

And there goes the under.
Day game overs are now 4-2.

Idon't agree with the whole rest thing. If you ask any hitter in america would they rather hit in day or night the majority will say day because they can see the spin out of the hand and get better pitch recognition without the shadows.

Vise versa for pitchers. They want to pitch at night. Especially changeup guys.

WAS wondering too about these west coast games the night games in Oakland, Seatle, SF, SD, and LA all tend to go under in general and the days are allways a bit more unpredictable.

But this worked for you in Oakland BOX so you'll be OK.

I would love to see some stats on that night/day totals theory. I really don't have any clue either way as far as the outcome, just one of those rumors/theories that seemed to hold true more often than not just by watching with the naked eye. I have never really tracked it....but it sure doesn't seem to hold true today which is good news for your plays!

I am really kicking myself for this under. That was a dumb play (hindsite is always nice...right?). But I rarely take unders in these matchups with 7.5 o/u's set. Too many things can go wrong and almost everything has to go right to stay under. Bad play on my part.

Florida is looking good though. Beckett doesn't get enough respect. He reminds me of Jason Schmidt when he first pitched for the Giants after being with Pittsburgh for some reason. I think a lot of fans/handicappers just look at his ERA (which is still awesome) and don't see him as an elite starter because he had one outing that roughed up his ERA. He has had every start but one this year where he allowed 3 runs or less. That is awesome.
