Not a good night last night for either one of us my friend except on the ice, but I had no play there.
The Yankee game IMO crossed the threshold of bad beat territory
and my Baltimore pick looked viable for a time but in retrospect was certainly not the best play out there. I will add here that I hadn't had nary one adult beverage while handicapping yesterday's card. Had the Rays had their chance, I feel it would have possibly softened the blow we took last night....but only possibly.
Still it may be time to circle the wagons, tweak our gameplan just a wee bit, call a 20 second timeout, juggle the order, let the cut man go to work for a minute in the corner and then come out stinging like a bee. IMO based on experience, we take it back a little at a time even should we have another bad night or two. Basic game plan doesn't change. But as we begin to near the Ides of March, a few more variables must be dealt with.
Perfect time for a Selmon summit conference with maybe a one time discard of self-imposed limitations on libations. Quality adult ideas are at times arguably the by product of the ingestion of quality adult beverages amongst those who have over the years unfortunately begun to function intellectually at a higher level with said ingestion. Those whose powers of reasoning are thus impaired without this necessariy indestion which of course will differ in degree from one poor soul to another may eventually be doomed, but not yet I maintain.
Impairment thus not by overindulgence mind you, but rather by the lack of stimuli to the central nervous system be it a simple stimulation of such system or depression of it; for those who would quible about such trivial bullshit, becomes a factor. Here I speak of either stimulation or depression and it's inherent affect on the brain along with the attendant powers of reasoning.
Simply put in street parlance a phucking necessary fix to take the edge off is admitedly a possible problem to be dealt with. However, I dare say that is not something to tackle when the ominous and forboding clouds of a losing streak have already gathered around us. For who can truly work at 100% efficiency in decision making while wringing hands and grinding teeth. I have commenced to getting an early start in arriving at optimum performance level at the start of the summit conferencethis evening. But I digress.
Let me know if that's a go for tonight. And just phuck that jinx stuff. Too many times records and streaks that have reached very impressive plateus are recognized at precisely the same time as the law of averages is compelled to bring them down to earth.
This is an inevitable truism of what we must contend with as well as do the studs between the lines. IMO this is best fought by most importantly keeping a positive attitude and knowing the fact that things will always revert back eventually if your decision making was sound to begin with. Very important to maintain a level head [along with any artificial crutch necessary to do so] and be satisfied with taking it back one unit at a time, one game at a time, one drink at a time, if you will.
