They did not have PG-13 back when flashdance came out . It was either R or PG. so back then some PG movies were actually more adult oriented then the PG movies of today

Hahaha.......it was exciting when there was free HBO weekends.......several late night movies with naked women had to.be rated R back in the 1980's. I believe "Private Lessons"........"Emmanuelle" was a classic movie with sex galore........the scariest rated R movie I seen first was "Amityville Horror"
