Take a look at STL/CIN to score in the 1st. Do not trust Brad Penny in that stadium.

Only AZ and SD aren't on any kind of streak in the NL. All other teams are either on a 2 or 3 streak either way. Pretty odd to see this.

Friday's selections if any will be posted Friday.

St Louis and the Mets both had golden opportunities to score in the first. However Pulholz hit a rocket that was snared and turned into a double play. Mock was giving free passes in the first but the Mets were swinging away on 3-0 3-1 counts at balls out of the zone. They did have a chance with Wright batting but he hit a line drive caught in the outfield. Both games had multiple scores in the 2nd but that did us no good. Definite bad breaks but that's how it goes with this prop.

Day 6 of MLB complete.

Score in the first inning today went 5-10

American 3-4
National 2-6

For the season 32-30

AL 15-15
NL 17-15

American

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

None for a second straight day

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

BOS (2)
CLV (2)
CWS (2)
MN (3)
NYY (2)
TB (2)

National

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

PHI (4)

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

Atlanta (3)
San Fran (4)
St Louis (3)

So we can see there is only 1 team in all of MLB that is scoring consistently in the first inning and 4 teams of streaks of 3 or more that aren't scoring. In thinking of the starting lineups for Atlanta and St. Louis it's quite surprising and the same can be said for Boston and NY.

Something has to give and it may all happen Saturday.

This is where the above information comes in hand. Some tough matchups tomorrow pitching wise but I see a few that should produce some runs early.

Will post in the morning so for now, digest the information.

On a side note, I welcome replies and invite you to comment. Just don't post your selections in my thread.

Thanks

NP Jstack34 it's all about giving back.

Hate laying this kind of juice today but they are going to make us pay.

These lines are from Betus

All bets are for NO run to be scored in the first.

STL/MIL -135
BOS/KC -165
OAK/LA -135

I know it's heavy wood to haul but they still have some value in them. I actually thought BOS/KC would be -185.

STL/MIL a winner as no runs scored in the first, as yesterday an explosion in the second as 4 plated but for our bet it's a winner.

1 down 2 to go.

Rather disappointing 2-1 day as BOS/KC didn't come through. Beckett got 2 quick outs in the bottom of the first then gave up a double, walk and single to plate a run. That ruined a perfect day. Tough loss to take but as stated prior it happens and it's a long season.

Day 7 of MLB complete.

Score in the first inning today went 5-10

American 3-4
National 2-6

For the season 37-40

AL 18-19
NL 19-21

American

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

SEA (2)
TX (2)

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

CWS (3)
MN (4)
NYY (3)
TB (3)

National

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

ATL (4)
COL (2)
MIL (2)
NYM (2)
SD (2)
SF (5)
STL (4)
WAS (2)

We have seen a quick reversal in first inning runs scored as the last three days the record has been 14-27 after a blistering 23-13 start. The NL is on a severe power outage to start games and it's very surpising to see some of the teams on the list.

The AL is going back and forth and not a lot of trends have surfaced the first week. In the entire MLB only 6 first inning runs were scored in 15 games.

Will be back in the AM with any selections.

No joking here, I turn on ATL/SF and I hear Lincecum deals and bam there went a 2 run HR I was like WTF, I clicked over to STL/MIL first pitch bam HR. That's how 0-2 happened seconds apart. #1 and #2 in Cy Young balloting give up the runs and that I didn't figure on. I figured I would have to sweat Wolf and Kawakami but they did their part going scoresless. Sucks but not much you can do about it.

Day 8 of MLB complete.

Score in the first inning today went 12-3

American 7-0
National 5-3

For the season 49-43

AL 25-19
NL 24-24

American

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

BOS (2)
CLV (2)

DET (2)
KC (2)
SEA (3)
TX (3)

AZ (2)
PIT (2)

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

CHC (2)
CIN (2)
COL (3)
SD (3)

Another swerve today as the AL went 7-0 and the NL 5-3.

Will be back in the AM with a few selections.

Home run ball in the first inning continues the bugaboo here. Getting old pretty quick but not much you can do except maybe fade.

Day 9 of MLB complete.

Score in the first inning today went 5-7

American 3-3
National 2-4

For the season 54-50

AL 28-22
NL 26-28

American

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

BAL (2)
BOS (3)
CLV (3)

TX (4)

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

CIN (3)
COL (3)
FL (2)
SD (4)

Here we go again in the NL with more than 1/2 the teams on some kind of streak. Not a full slate for Tuesday's card. Only 9 games on the slate with 1/3 of them early.
