It's hard to pinpoint reasons, of course, especially after one day, but maybe since a lot of these games are on neutral courts, the books lower the totals a bit? At any rate, it's worth keeping an eye on in the next few days.

I think with the shortened schedules a lot of big faves left starters in most of the game. They're not sure how many games they'll even play so might as well let the kids play I guess.

I had Bowling Green against Michigan and Michigan left starters in the whole way, up 15 in the last couple minutes they still had their foot on the gas.

Of course, 15 is an arbitrary number as Belmont was -14.5 and they covered/over.
Btw, while I was checking these numbers, I didn't realize that Illinois was -42...damn. They covered easily too. Went under tho.
