on a NEUTRAL field, BOTH Auburn and Oklahoma beat Miami

having said that - not sure we will have to worry about Miami and the BCS after this week

:neenee: BCS still a joke. Miami is an average team.

CLEARLY the three best teams in NCAA right now are USC, OU, and Auburn. No one else is even close. FSU:biglaugh: they needed some questionable calls to beat Syracuse 2 weeks ago. That is funny. Miami should have lost to Louisville at home, they are an average team with a good running back (Berlin is terrible).

Auburn has the toughest road. USC plays in the worst conference and has the easiest schedule. OU will have a few bumps with Tex A&M and Ok. St. still on the schedule, not to mention a possible BigXII Ch. game.

Should be interesting.

BTF.

Are you crazy?

The only team you are correct about is USC. Miami however has every right to be ranked #2. It doesnt matter if Louisville should have won, they didnt, Miami did and Louisville is a damn good team. Oklahoma however every year is always overrated. Every year they always ranked high and talked up and every year they choke in their last few games. Miami never gets any respect. Brock may not be the best, but he gets the job done. FSU needs some respect as well, They just demolished #6 Virginia, and can beat any team in the country. Auburn is playing good football and if the championship game was this weekend, they would have a say to play in the big game however with the remaining schedule and the SEC champ game, there is no way Auburn gets through the season unscaved. Give respect where it is due. How many teams can come back from being down 24. Not Auburn, and not Oklahoma. The BCS got it right for once.

You want to talk about overrated, then you have to start with Miami. You gotta play somebody.

Sure they beat Louisville at home. Shoulda never been down by 17 points in the second half. Face it, Miami is an average team.

FSU we won't even talk about. Sure they beat UVA (BFD!) who has virginia beat this year? Virginia State? FSU couldn't handle Syracuse.

Clearly best three teams in the country at this point are
USC, OU, and Auburn. Maybe Miami and FSU should play in a conference with a Championship game.

...OU overrated every year? :biglaugh: You might be able to say that last year... when the QB had a broken hand. And they STILL should have beat LSU in the Sugar Bowl. Guess you thought they were over-rated when they won the national championship in Jan 01? Answering yes to this question qualifies you as an idiot. They had one of the best defenses in college football history. Just go ask Bowden, Weinke, and Company. What did they get 17 yards in that game.
USC only played one game this year, vs. Cal. Get in a real conference and paly a conference championship every year if you think you are good. They should all take a page from the BigXII and SEC. I only include USC in the thing at all becuase I think you have to lose a game to lose your title.

I agree with Trev Alberts. Take the computers out and fix the whole thing. Computers have Utah as the #5 team :neenee: .

Too much hype around Miami and FSU. Both average teams this year, sorry.

I'll be the first to admit Wisconsin is a class below Auburn, Oklahoma and I believe FSU. But they should/could have beat Auburn in the Music City Bowl last year (a couple of dubious fumble calls) and have won three Rose Bowls against Pac 10 teams in the past 10 years.
The Badgers play Northwestern and Minnesota at home then play at Iowa and Michigan State...all winnable games with Minnesota and Iowa the toughest. With no conference championship game, UW could run the table.
If they do, are there ways that they could weasel their way into the top two. Not having a conference championship game could be a major factor here.

Arnie,

You can't argue against Wiskey with that D. I think they have a great shot at running the table this year. But without the conference ch. game (although it's not supposed to affect your BCS standing; another joke) they are going to be in trouble.
Not they are not a top team, there are simply too many teams ahead of them that I don't think are going to loose.

Great team though! I would take them (out in the cold and elements) against just about anyone. Adrian Peterson might give them fits though.

Hey Big Twelve Fan you are the idiot........Miami has beaten two top 25 teams so far including a very good FSU team in the top 5 who might have played the best all around game of any team this year against Virginia.

The Big 12 has allways been overrated especially Oklahoma, Texas and K-State. Jason White is an absolute joke at QB, I still dont know why he won the Heisman. I guees he will have a great pro career like Josh Heupel. Dont give excuses about Oklahoma and why they lost last year. If you hadn't noticed football is a TEAM sport. Even if a player is hurt, another player on a good team should be able to step in and do the job.

Miami beat Louisville with 3 starters out on offense (Moss, Moore and Winston) so why did they win? Maybe they were the better TEAM and the players who played for the starters performed well. The fact that Miami came back from such a big deficit with a QB like Berlin shows what type of team they are.

If you had a brain you would realize that these BCS rankings mean crap right now because there is alot of games yet to be played.

I really wish Miami could play Oklahoma like they used to every year....the only problem is that OU was afraid to renew the contract to play Miami. Miami would beat their a-- whether it was in Norman or in the Orange Bowl.

I would take Miami or FSU against ANY Big 12 team anywhere, anytime!!!!!

USC HAS GOOD CHANCE TOO GO UNDEFEATED, WHILE I THINK MAIMI FL LOSES TO FLORIDA, AND AUBURN GOES UNDEFEATED, AND DOES OKLAHOMA.

A COMPLETE MESS THIS YEAR.

Youre right about Wisky.....they have a great chance to win out. Miami does not play FLORIDA this year.

In response to Moves quote a cfew replies up.....I only wish that FSU still played Miami late in October like that did before Miami joined the ACC. I think with Sexton at QB and more game experience for the team it would have been a different outcome.

Miami plays a very good NC State Defense away this weekend, Too.

Wisky's chances of playing in the Orange Bowl are hurt by the fact they play in a rather weak Big 11. i know SoS is not directly in the system this year but if given the chance of taking Wisky or a team that played a tougher sked - Wisky stays home.

can you imagine the contrasts of styles when we get a Wisky/Cal Rose Bowl

as for Wisky - on NEUTRAL field i'd make them a dog to the following BCS T10 teams:

USC
Oklahoma
Auburn
Utah (Few know how good this team reallllllllllllly is)
Cal

NC state poses no threat

NC state doesnt pose a threat to Miami this weekend. Miami is tired of the close games. All this week they have practiced with speakers on the practice field to be ready for loud noise. I think the canes and coker realize that they wont always be able to come back from a game like that all season. Miami wins big this weekend. I like them giving up to 10 as they win by two touchdowns.
