Good show, but Intervention is better. A&E is a great network.

True, Intervention is up there, but man, depressing at times. Both are really.

If I ever quit "Betty Crockering it" I would LOVE to be a Homicide Detective. Good shit, fo'sho.

I actually was going to school for that shit till I droped out and became a bonus whore, so is life.

hope all is well Illni, happy new year

Yea, I was at the gym today watching them.

Man, Detroit is a shit hole, worse than I thought. I go there 5-6 times a year to the casino's too, makes me think twice walking the 4-5 blocks at 1am.

Will miss the new episode, but will catch it later.

Cincinnati has been on there quite a bit.

We had our first homicide of 2009 at 12:31am today. Maybe that will make it

great show and I have learned from that show that you can get away with murder as long as you keep your mouth shut and never admit to doing it...thats how they almost always get caught...cops break these idiots down and make them crack

lol I noticed the same thing

The other thing is at first everyones story starts with I had nothing to do with nothing and I know nothing.

Then it goes to I was there but it was'nt me.

Then it changes to it was me.

It seems like the best thing to do is just shut your mouth dont even say a word.

Detroit is a shithole. I will never go back. A few months ago, a guy I went to highschool with.... he, and his friend were car jacked and shot in the back of the head leaving the casino going back to their car.

I agree that the cops get these guys to crack but if they don't the show will then switch to Forensic Files on TruTv. lol

Forensic Files is great but it also teaches people how to get away with murder.

Great show, been watching it for years. The above series of events is basically how all the guys get caught.

Detroit had a case where two dudes come into the apt tie the two chicks in there up. Two infants were in the house as well. Have the girl call over her dope dealing boyfriend. Boyfriend shows up, the one guy unloads a clip in the guy in the apt. complex parking lot, kill him. Other guy shoots both girls in the face only because he recognized one of the girls, and thought she might know him, no witnesses.

One of the girls survives getting shot in the face and IDs the one shooter. They bring the one shooter in, he says nothing, immediately asks for a lawyer. Charged with first degree murder. The second guy gets caught 9 months later off a tip. He comes in and just opens up about it being a contract hit and gives the cops everything. Says he has done 15 hits for various dope dealers in the Detroit. They didn't really get into what they did with all the info he provided, but that should show you how ghetto Detroit is these days.

That same hitman in that episode will probably be tied in with a murder that's about to blow wide open here involving our recently jail mayor Kilpatrick. That hitman has already confessed to a lot of murders and theres many rumblings our ex mayor will be tied into the murder of a stripper that danced at his house one night. His wife walked in on the party and beat up the stripper real bad and months later she was gunned down and the murder was never solved along with a 2nd stripper that night at the party that was murdered in Atlanta right around the same time. They are subpoenaing all the city pagers around the time of the murders right now and 13 have came back "of interest" in the killing. Getting really good around here now.

AS for the First 48. The show used to be my favorite but its all replays now not to mention every time they break for a commercial they have to explain the entire story to you like you just sat down to watch the program. Very tedias.

Interesting stuff. You need to Record the First 48 so when you watch it you can fast forward commercials and recaps.

About 300 dead people a year leave Detroit. Family members who are leary of going back into bad neighborhoods to visit their relative's graves are spending thousands to have the bodies moved to cemeteries in the suburbs.
