First of all even though it was a lot of work even I had a great time. The Golden Nugget was an excellent venue, I don't believe anyone lacked for anything as far as amenities go.
People I remember most. Please do not take offense if I leave you out, this old brain is way short on memory cells for someone 60 years old.
Dante congrats on winning the poker tournament and also for giving me a hand when needed. Always upbeat, he was a big hit with my wife and step daughter who got a real kick out of him in the best sense.
Mods. Robfunk, Iceman (and his lady, who is to die for) and Jake T. Thanks for representing the team and not asking me for a raise.:missingte
Rx Editor Charlie Maxwell always a pleasure to talk to as we are from the same generation of 1950s baseball loving kids (Detroit for CM and Boston for myself).
Rick Allec, now offically done here at the Rx.com. Rick went out with all class and professionalism and could not have been more supportive towards me. I hope I was able to accomplish what he expected from me as far as my part in organizing the Bash went. Thanks as usual to his lovely and gracious wife for her beautiful smile and gracious presence. Thanks for all the help at the Reception Raffle and Greeting posters as they entered.
Posters I recall meeting with some clarity.
D2bets - very intelligent, a real gentleman and able to take a brutal beat at the poker table with out reminding anyone even remotely of Phil Helmouth.
Fair Warning - What can one say. Loyal Rxer and a pleasure to talk sports with and no slouch when it comes to picking winners.
Coach LT - The most loyal Rxer of them all, thank you so much for being the one of the rocks that support this site. Newbies to old times veterans it will do you well to listen to advice freely given by Coach. It won't be long before we hear those magic words down the College Football Forum "It's Rubberband Time"...The guy is simply the best any forum could hope for in a poster.
CalvinTy, it was a great pleasure meeting you, I don't think I saw him once without a smile on his face. Best wishes in your upcoming marraige. Thank you for all you do for the Rx.com..Calvin is an Rx Advisory Board member and a very astute one at that.
Quantumleap, great guy, greater friend and nothing if not generous and a pleasure to be around by all. Another one of the rocks this forum is built upon. Thank you doesn't seem strong enough but just the same QL thanks for all you do for the site and it's posters.
Judge Wapner, what a guy, generous to a fault, intelligent, humble (and according to my wife "muy Guapo"..google it) and the kind of firiend that comes along so rarely they are almost non-existent anymore. Pure class.
Charliepeete, the life of the party and the most loyal of Rxers. Thank you for being Charliepeete.:nohead:
Viejo Dinosaur - where to start. First and formost a friend to all who will accept his friendship. A loyal Rxer with a great sense of humor. As a human being a man who can be trusted with your most valuable possesion without any need for concern. Another rock that supports this site. Thank you for all you do, not only for The Rx but the community you live in and the many people fortunate enough to call you friend..A better friend does not exist.
GI Joe and his lady Chips2424, thank you for gracing our Bash for the 4th straight year. Next year I think I am going to create the GI Cash Award Contest which Dante will probably win. Thanks again to the both of you, the Bash would not be the same without you.
Brock, great seeing you again, I hope you got some shirts that fit and hope even harder you went home winner for the trip. Loyal poster and sharp guy. Thanks.
Betallsports, the man is what he says he is, we all would do well to listen to him. Really knows the sportswagering business from all angles and exudes a confidence that you can't help but admire. Sharp as they come and now I am happy to say a good friend of the Rx for what I hope is a long time to come. We were able to share some interesting stories about the business going back a long way.
Mr. Liesure, no Bash is complete without him, he also won something during the raffle. Never a mean word, just a fun dude to hang with..Thanks to Mr. Liesure for your years of loyalty to The Rx.
George Jefferson, really glad I met him (if only briefly) and even more glad he chose this site to spread his humor and learned from experience wisdom. Thanks JG for being just what you are, a wise and trustworthy guy with a great sense of humor.
Dsethi, I do not know of anyone who has ever actually meet Dsethi in person who does not like him. Sharp as they come but also a real gentleman. I know we have had our cyber battles in the past but seeing him again makes me realise that arguing sports whether in person or on the internet is fun when you face a worthy opponet, Dsethi with his quiet but rapier like wit is definitely that. Thanks for coming to yet another Bash and please never leave the Rx over anything I foolishly say. Someday we may get a chance to talk about handicapping pitchers face to face, I think we both would come away all the wiser. Is this what the younger set says "Word".
Green Doberman, the man is amazing, combining incredible staying power with a never changing extremely friendly disposition and you have GD. He will go way out of his way to help his friends and has entered into rock status here at The Rx.. Another most generous individual who I am very much honored to call friend. Not a bad country gambler on top of all that..Thanks for all you do Greenie..
Porno Paul - Hugh Hefner should be so lucky. Thanks for the (how do I put this) mature entertainment materiel plus the shirts and Spearmint Rhino bags. Paul's company Sinsation Pictures has been a special friend to the Rx for three years now. Paul is a great guy, always ready to to help and never annnoyed when a certain head moderator bugs him about stuff to give our posters. Thanks again this year to Paul and Sinsation Pictures..
Max Value, you are so welcome and in return I want to say thank you to you and your very lovely lady for attending this years Bash. I hope you both had a great time.
The Nuts, it was my pleasure to meet you. Thanks for attending and best of luck in all future endeavors. Never hesitate to email me if I can be of assistance.
BillyHoyle, thanks for taking the time to look me up. I hope you remain a valued and loyal poster here at The Rx for a long time.
CapnWatch, many thanks for your kind words. Thanks for all your contributions year round to the site.
Joe Gaffney, what a great guy, I was more than happy to help you out and will not forget your offer to contact you if I ever need any help in return. I very much hope you had a great time. I hope you repeat as the Hilton's NFL capping contest winner this year. That was an amazing display of handicapping last year. BOL. this year.
Xerri, great seeing you again. Thanks for being such a loyal Rxer.
Revon, I enjoyed talking with you again this year, Revon is very knowledgeable about the Las Vegas betting scene. Looking for a proxy for the Hilton contest, Revon is your man, well established for many years in Vegas, he comes with reverences including being a home owner in the area. I have nothing to gain by this but if you want to contact him about the Hilton contest just email me.
Superpimp93 - you maniac....JK. great to meet you sorry you missed the poker tournament..Hopefully next year. Thanks for making the trip, I hope you had a terrific time.
BadCo. I enjoyed talking to you. Very interesting indeed. Hope you had a fun and profitable weekend.
Illini, so glad you could make it, impossible not to like Illini who is a sharp gambler to boot. Thanks for being a much valued and appreciated poster here at The Rx.
Phonebook, my pleasure meeting you, sorry I didn't have more time to spare. Enjoy the site this football season and make some scratch doing so. Thanks...
Kojak and his trusty sidekick C.Money, what more can I say than I was more than happy to see you both again for what - four staright years..I hope to see you both in the football forums this fall. Have a great season.
Kokak, all the best to your family also.

I apologise to those I did not mention but sincerely thank you for attending the Rx Bash 2008 which turned out to be more of a success than I could ever hope for.
Many thanks to the entire staff at The Golden Nugget, was that food faboulous or what. We had food for 150people and I think it all went.
I cannot count how many posters came up to me during the reception raving about the food..Truly delicious from soup to nuts...
Finally and probably to the relief of all I want to say thank you to all Rxers, Bash goers or not. The site is gearing up for a great football season. I wish each and everyone of you the best of fortune this year.
Best, wilheim
