Final Four NCAAF Teams?

Give me a sleeper team that you think can fill a Final Four spot in the NCAA Football playoffs this Season?

My sleeper team is Wisconsin. Tough first game with LSU, but even with a loss to start the season, they can run the table the rest of the year and be in contention as a one loss team. They have a cupcake Big Ten schedule (which could play against them in computer rankings) after realignment with no Ohio St, Michigan St, Penn St., or Michigan on their schedule this year. Conference road games at Rutgers, Purdue, Northwestern, and Iowa. Home games with Maryland, Illinois, Minnesota, and Nebraska. It looks to me that they could conceivably get the Big Ten Championship game undefeated in Conference.

Melvin Gordan might be a nice long shot Heisman candidate here as well. Wisconsin likes to run behind their always huge Offensive Line and with this schedule, he might rack up some impressive stats. If this team could recruit some speed and size in the secondary, they could fit right in with the SEC teams.

OK I will go ahead and say it.

If the Badgers lose their first game..... There is no way in hell they should get any consideration with the schedule you are stating. That does not mean they won't be considered. But, truly pitiful if there are not four teams that can overcome that set of qualifications.

Also, I am sure hoping the TV people don't try to shove some mid-major bag of crap down our throat to be considered in the four. They always tried to do that in the BCS era for one of the major bowls.

It certainly is a pitiful schedule. But I still believe they can lose this first game and be competitive (which they always are) to LSU. Get to Indianapolis undefeated in Conference and beat a strong Big Ten East Opponent on a neutral field and get a shot at a Final Four game.

I agree with you about the non BCS Conference schools. If you want to include one of them, expand to a post season of 8 teams. IMO

FYI, there's a CFB forum where people who give a shit about CFB actually post.

But since you posted this here; my sleeper would be South Carolina. This is Spurrier's best team even after losing Clowney and Shaw. He has depth top to bottom and a favorable schedule. If they get past UGA(which I think they will), they'll have a shot at the SECCG and if they win there they are in.

I agree with everything you said except that i'm not sure Wisconsin is a sleeper to make the top 4. I think they are one of the favorites. (at least in the Big 10) ...And i think the winner of the Big 10 conference championship game has a very good chance of being 1 of the 4 teams.

So they're pretty much as much of a sleeper for the final 4 as they are for their conference. I give them a great chance.
