On the site it looks like you have to jump through many hoops just to bring attention to a corrupt business owner. Anyone here have an easier way to bring light to a certain situation?

corrupt may have been a strong word to use. my sister has managed a local pizzeria for the past 4 years and is being pushed out by the owner for no reason other than not wanting to pay her. he has some people on his payroll but cashes the checks himself and keeps the money. just looking to give him a little legal jab for messing with family.

note: it may sound trivial but she has a mortgage to keep up with and is making a good amount of money at this place that allowed her to buy a house and a new car. shes there open to close 6 days a week and for him play games like this is unfair to her and id like to hit him where it hurts

what state does she work? depending on location and number of employees, most employers can fire anyone for any reason or no reason at all. exceptions are for race, religion, sex, age ... stuff like that

NJ is a no reason state. He can let her go without giving a reason or just saying I dont want to pay you any more. He cant say because she a girl or gay or anything like that.

I also know if she (or you if shes worried of repercussions) report him to the IRS, not only does it make his life miserable, you get a % of the money he owes as a finders fee.

in order to report a biz or person to the IRS you have to have some kind of documentation.

from the IRS: The IRS is looking for solid information, not an “educated guess” or unsupported speculation. We are also looking for a significant Federal tax issue - this is not a program for resolving personal problems or disputes about a business relationship.

they want people that owe 2 million or more, if they owe less than that then they look to see how much income the person has (200k+/year) before they will give you a reward... not saying they won't look into it, but getting a reward on small potatoes is kinda rare.

As for proof, He stated he cashed checks that weren't his. And depending on the pizza place, there would easily be $200K worth of review a year.

Call the board of health and report specific violations. Im sure there are a few.

call your local lbgt (you know gay activitist group) tell them that you heard the guy hates gays and won't deliver pie to homos

then call the black activists and tell them they don't deliver to people that sound colored

then call the mosque and tell them the guy hides bacon on pies he makes for muslims

BAS is a solid mean machine!

something similar happened to a friend of mine. The owner of the Pizza joint didn't pay him for like 3 weeks, even though Cash was coming in every day.
Somehow ... Mice droppings started to pop up... and the Shock treatment was when a couple of customers saw Mice running around while eating.
Not sure Where they came from out of the blue ... but his grading went from an A to a C

Im not looking to set him up just repay him for putting her in a position to create a debt based on her income then decide she was overpaid. 60+ hours a week no overtime. Part of me doesn't want to do anything but as I think about how helpless my sister is in this potion I feel obligated.

Defending family against scumbags is a must, nothing wrong here... It's justified, one can go around in life letting this shit fly.
