I think there are better ways of thinking the over/under then this way. I would suspect some of these drives will be designed to take a considerable amount of time off the clock. Both teams will either be punting the ball on their first possession or if lucky enough will be kicking a field goal. Manning will definitely be reading the defence and playing conservative. Seattle and Denver would love to play keep away from each other and establish themselves on the ground. At the end of the half will one team be playing catch up? will the game be tied? To simply say they will be going back and fourth scoring considering these teams have outstanding defences imo is too much to expect and out of line with what the books have predicted as coitus_maximus has pointed out. Out of the ten possessions they will be punting a good five times out of ten. Defence is the common denominator in this game and the team protecting the ball with the greatest time of possession will win this one.

I will play the game and say that denver punts 5 times, gets 2 tds and 2 fgs with a fumble.
Denver = 20
Seattle I say punts 6 times, gets 1 td and three fgs and also one turnover
Seattle = 16

i like this thread because it is outside the box thinking and requires a lot of thought. it's hard for me to do it because i know the game could never be that easy to predict. there might be a safety or a special teams score that changes the whole game. also, time of possession is something that will effect scoring. i see seattle controlling the line of scrimmage, but i think they will surprise people by taking chances on offense or running at will and will score. everyone thinks they will be conservative. they know that. they will get pressure on manning. i can't tell you how, but i see seattle 27 denver 17.

i like the thread because it makes you think harder about predictions.
