Guys...as a "Dallas" area local here is my take on some of those games...Tx/Baylor....yes think that Tx can and should cover the little 38 number..but have to remember that ran up score quickly last week against rice and then shut it down so as not to show anything to the Sooners...and that is possibility this week except Rice "D" much better than Da Bears so even with shuting down the offenst think Tx still covers against Baylor and they hate baylor more than they hate Rice.......SMU/Boise...another little 38 to cover at home and think SMU shot their wade at home last week against a weak and bad San Jose and Boise will run them out of "Smurfville" and ez cover the 38 as Boise has no problem running up the number...avg 50+ per game and cannot see Ponies scoring 2 TD's....take Smurf's - 38.... Rice/San Jose St...this one seems too ez...only giving up 14-14 1/2 at San Jose..a BAD BAD team...against a Rice them that is well coached and has alot of class athletes...take The Owls and give up the few points....Ou/Techtech....wow....don't really know...as a Tech kinda alum hard to figure out this team...OU has owned them in past yrs and covered ez and not sure that this team is better than the last 2 yrs teams..in fact know that the "O" not as good but they finally have a little "D"....so can they score 2+ Td's and hold OU to 40 points or so????...really think they can so going to take my Raiders and get the 25 1/2 points....also for local info really like Okie State to cover the 17 vs. a bad Iowa St team...also like Mizzou tigers to whoop it up on Colo....GL all

Cedar,

As a fellow TECH Alum, I do know that S Cumbie does not come close to Symons & or Kingsbury. He might have numbers close to them but I have no confidence in him. Although this could change as the season progresses, he has shown me nothing. OU could possibly be looking forward to next week W/TEXAS, I still believe OU covers easily.

By the way, do you live on the lake? I am fixing to build a house on the lake.

Current student at TECH and I also think that Cumbie is not as good as the previous QBs.

During the TCU game it seemed like the defense shut down TCU but the QBs for TCU couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. WR were running down the field wide open and they would throw it 5 feet over their head. Tech D is not that much improved at all. First year QB finally playing a defense in OU. Very Scary. Tech defense will not stop OU and if they give them a huge lead again the game is over. I would take OU minus the points with the only way Tech winning is with a back door cover (which is likely).

I would just like to say to remember that next week OU plays Texas so both teams could pull starters a little early and allow back door covers as they look ahead to next week.

Keep that in mind that they may be looking ahead a little.

Cedar Creek

No I don't know Roper. I moved here to Lubbock early this summer for my last 2 years of school, lived in amarillo 2 years before.

I quit betting last year as I am now a poor college student with 2 kids of my own. But last year it was hard to take as I had my best year ever. I won Low Tides bowl contest and was 2nd in GMONEY contest.

Just like reading this forum and playing in the contests until I get done with school.

Best luck to you.
