I've only been depositing at Chumba for deals above the normal 5% bonus. Crudebar has got me thinking there is more value here.

Looks like they always offer deposit $300 get $315. I wonder how many times you can do this in a month. I'm going to look into it.

Zit. Have they offered you a personal host? Was wondering if it was worth actually setting it up. I got an email from a "personal poker host" but it looks like something they send to a lot of people and wondering if it's even worth the time.

On Fendoff? I must have missed that email, but no I haven't. Chumba sent out a crazy deal earlier this week. Do 20 pulls in play money mode on
their new slot machine and get a free money offer.

Today I got, buy $50 get $100... nice

Even if, say the BJ game has a 5% edge, instead of 1-2%, their bonus deals offer way more than that, so there is a lot of +EV there

The BJ game on GlobalPoker/Fendoff if I remember is a bit restrictive as far as doubling down... one of them is double down only on 9/10/11...

Is it ever +even to DD on numbers besides those?

I thought 10 and 11 were the only numbers you should DD.

Especially an online casino when you can’t count cards

I double-checked... Global allows you to double whenever you want, but Fendoff is 10 or 11 only.

You should double 9 against 2-6, and there are also some soft-doubling situations:

[h=3]Hard 9 Against the Dealer’s Low Cards[/h]When you are dealt a total of 9, double down when the dealer shows a card between 2 and 6 (any card below 7, not including the Ace). This must be a hard 9; meaning there is no Ace in your hand – so the combinations could be 2-7, 3-6 or 4-5. If you have A-8 (a soft 9), it’s best to stand, regardless of what the dealer shows.
[h=3]Soft 16 To 18 Against the Dealer’s Low Cards[/h]If you have an Ace and either a 5, 6 or 7 giving you a “soft” total of 16 to 18 and the dealer shows a card from 2 to 6, this is a great time to double your bet. With an Ace and a lower card (2 to 4) it is better to just hit, as you are less likely to end with a high hand.

Yes. Off the top there are a number of circumstances where you double on a 9. I know vs a 6 is one and i believe also vs a 5. My blackjack game is rusty so don't remember all of it off the top.

Chumba runs a fair game. I have been online gambling for 20 or so years, bonus hunting blackjack for the first 5 or so of those years and 99 percent of online games are legit. The one percent you could tell by the crummy software but the bonus still made it plus ev.
