Cynthia Brown is a punter for Wilson High School in Virginia. Wilson’s opponents know Brown for her leg, so when she took the field against Deep Creek, almost everyone was expecting her to boot the ball. Instead, Brown threw a pass to a wide open Kevin Whitfield, who ran 52 yards for a touchdown.
Brown says her coach came up with the play at halftime, and only the two of them and Whitfield knew it was coming.
“Kevin did all the work in my opinion,” Brown told WAVY 10. “I was like ‘Oh man, the pass is really short.'”
