Freddy vd Jason should be good for around 25 million or more, I feel. Could be one of those weekends that the books are just way off, they've been too sharp as of late. Most all horror movies like this one go under 20, but this one is different. It's special. Even I'll go see that shit, and I haven't watched a Nightmare on Elmstreet movie in over 10 years probably. I did see Jason X, just for a good laugh, and it definitely was worth a chuckle or two. The new commercial they're running with Jason stalking some dude in a cornfield and the guy throws a bucket of water on him hoping for a "Signs" disintegration effect is golden. That's worth a few million by itself! I like the Uptown Girls as well, can't see it going much higher than 6 million so there's a decent chance it will squeeze under 5. I don't see much star power in it at all, although the lead actress(?) starring alongside Eminem in 8 mile might be good for a few fans, guess we'll find out soon enough. Grind could very easily bomb as well, but they seem to be promoting the hell out of it, I'm not sure how much the skater demographic is worth box office wise, probably not 5 million, if they even care, but I think I'll lay off, I have a feeling it could squeek over, but I doubt it.
