I'm going to try my hand at sharing my picks with my Rx breathren this season. If it gets ugly, I'll return to other people's threads. I will go with units because sometimes I will buy half points. I'll solidify my wagers later. Right now, early observations (leans).
Chiefs/Pats= Not loving it, but if it gets to 9.5 or 10, I'll take a shot with Chiefs. I think scores will be earned in this one. If Brady leads the Pats up and down the field, then I will have been wrong.
Jets/Bills= I see two pretty bad teams. Bills would be better with Tyrod. This is a snoozer where Jets could hang around +9
Falcons/ Bears= Road game, but hungry Falcons should bury Bears.
Houston/Jags= Love this one. JJ Watt back. DeAndre has just been locked into a contract... and don't forget Texans were in the playoffs. Bring in the hurricane recovery angle and you have a lot going in Texans' favor. Jags just don't look like they've turned it around yet.
Rams/Colts= Opening on the road with no Luck seems like an exercise in futility for Colts. Continued problems with the running game. Rams' D should be solid at home. Get a healthy Todd Gurley going and let young Jared get on his game. They should cover by at least a FG.
Pack/Seahawks= Under the number. Could be a shootout, but I see the defenses stepping up in this one. Neither team has great running game. Both D's will put pressure.
Chargers/Broncos= I like Chargers getting points here. Chargers lost a lot of close ones last year. That should have them focused. Phillip Rivers is still good. The running game and defense are pretty good. Broncos offense should be struggling. Chargers and the points.

Back later in the week with picks and units. Thanks for visiting my thread.

Happy to start my thread off with a winner. I didn't need the points. I didn't want the points. I'll take the points.

4-2-1 +75 UNITS.

I lost my big bet of the week and still made money. I thought the Texans would win one for H-town, following the devastating hurricane. Also, they were a playoff team last year and they had a winnable opponent in the Jags. In addition, the Blake Bortles controversy made me think the Jags offense would struggle. I was forgetting that Jags have put together a top notch defense. Also, Leonard Fournette's debut was a good one. On the other side, Texans have serious offensive woes. So too, Texans were late returning from their final exhibition game due to the hurricane and, perhaps, they were not mentally ready to play a football game with such a distraction. In any event, the O-line gave up ten sacks. This reflects serious problems with the offense; not to mention they have two young, "not ready for prime time" QB's. All this contributed to one ugly wager on my part. On to Week 2.

Week 2 leans and observations: Titans at Jags= It's a small number and I believe Titans are the better team. Close examination of Titans loss at home to Raiders shows it was actually a closely contested matchup. Panthers vs. Bills= Looks like a TD spread. I feel that Panthers should improve off win at 49ers. Cam should have shaken off some rust. McCaffrey has a game under him. The defense is pretty solid. I love Luke. They should return home very confident. Eagles at Chiefs= Obviously, Chiefs look like champions of the world. I think Eagles are for real and I think Carson Wentz is definitely an NFL QB. Only aspect that worries me is Eagles on the road consecutive weeks and coming off road win against big time divisional rival. Vikings at Steelers= Is Sam Bradford really that good? Vikes offense looks significantly improved. Suddenly, they have a really nice receiving corps and Dalvin Cook is a beast. With the added offensive prowess, their defense should keep them in every game. Dolphins at Chargers= Dolphins should be able to hang with Chargers unless Cutler reverts to his dark side. Cowboys at Broncos= Trevor Sieman looked surprisingly efficient, but Cowboys coming off 13 win season are the better team. Also, no sophomore jinx for Dak Prescott. Packers at Falcons= Falcons never got it going in preseason or in Bears game. Packers want to avenge playoff loss. I thought Pack looked better than Falcons in week 1. Lions at Giants= No point spread yet, but Lions looked good. Giants have same familiar problems.

Bears at Bucs= I like getting a TD here. I certainly can't see giving the points in this one. Also, I see two defenses that are both ahead of the offenses. Therefore, Under is under consideration.
