I know this may be a little off topic. But, I recently downloaded a sega genesis emulator. I also started downloading and playing games for it. I don't play video games near as often as I did when I was younger. But playing the games got me remembering how fun it was playing them when I was younger.

Just wondering, I know there are some old timers here, but if you guys can think back that long ago(just kiddin), what was the game or games you were obssesed with.

For me its a few in no particular order.

1. Ninja Gaiden (nintendo)
2. Bubble-Bobble (nintendo)
3. NBA- Live 95 (sega genesis)
4. Techmo Super Bowl (Nintendo)
5. Contra (Nintendo)
6. Streets of Rage 2 (sega genesis)
7. NARC (nintendo)
8. Madden 96 (sega Genesis)
9. Pro Wrestling & WCW or NWA Wrestling(Nintendo)
10. Kung-Fu (Nintendo)

I got more then that but I'll leave it off from here.

Anyone got one they loved growing up??

Purely on concept it's gotta be Burgertime.

What were the inventors of that one tripping on?

hmmmmmmm...the older games REALLY cannot compete with the new games but for the purposes of this thread....

Tecmo Bowl...unreal....the Chicago Bears were awesome in that game.

When I was in college some fraternity had one of their pledges run that play with the TE. I forget the name of the play but if you've played Tecmo with the Bears you know which one I'm talking about. The Cap Boso play went for a TD every time.

Damn..forgot to mention the funniest part of the story...the pledge had to run the play in the cafeteria during prime time...

One of my favorites that I can't remember what it's called is a ninja and there's trees and looks like monks that shoot fire and sometimes you can play a flute and it kills the ninjas, the next stage is water and after that stage you jump all the way to the top until finally you rescue his girlfriend. I used to play that for hours.

I liked Metal Gear but if you didn't have the map you had some time to figure it out. I also liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Zelda was good. Contra the same. Seems like yesterday.
