Favorite Restaurants/Bars in the Boston Area

Thanks to Joeyfitz, all the bars and restaurants in the Newport/Boston area were great...especially "THE LANDING" in Newport where an RXer TicoKev is the bartendar....

Restaurants

Italian- Go to the North End- many great Italian restaurants, including the original Pizzeria Regina, which is very good. Gotta go to Mikes Pastry for Dessert. Also, Santarpios in East Boston right near the airport is some of the best pizza I have had, it is a little whole in the wall but you won't be disapointed.

Todd English's Olives is a great choice as well, along with Maggiano's and a couple of the seafood places that have been mentioned- try out Quincy Market by Faneuil Hall during the day, they have a ton of different restaurants inside.

For Chinese, gotta try out The Golden Temple in Brookline- very nice restaurant, excellent Chinese food, and a little more upscale for a Chinese restaurant

For Sunday Brunch, Henrietta's Table is awesome- only been there once, but one of the best brunches. Top of the Hub is also a good choice

I go to this place a lot. I get the Shabu Shabu pot where you cook the meat in the broth.

It gets crazy busy on weekend nights though. Always a wait.

kowloon??? they are more like american chinese... if you want realy chinese, you have to go to chinatown... haven't been to kowloon lately but last time i went there(5 to 6 yrs ago, the food was average... nothing special

I agree, but it is a name place. There used to be a place in North Quincy that was awesome, but it's now an Irish bar. I can't tell you how many times I stopped there on the way home from the dog track.

You mean the one in Burlington? I go to the Arlington location sometimes, although Frank's Steakhouse is on the way & hard to pass up.
