Oh, I also doubt he would've won, but, like we both said, he was their only shot, barring some out-of-the-woodwork Repub emerging in the next 2.5 years. Another factor is there would've been questions about his health, not to mention the strain on carrying around all that blubber: campaigning around the nation's 2nd smallest state for a few months is one thing, doing so around the country for over a year is quite another...
