Anyone see this? Watched it last night. Being a gambler, we can probably all relate in one way or another. I'm a firm believer in diet can cure A LOT!

My wife and I are starting with 7 days of juicing starting the July 6th. We will see

At first I thought you had the inside track to tate's reality tv feed.

Never seen the show but good luck with the juicing!

i watched it...i've been hitting the juice pretty consistently for about 18 months now...good luck and give it a chance for a while...did you buy a juicer or are you doing a program of some sort? i got interested in it after a 3-day groupon deal and then started doing some research and bought one for the house

I have a Breville. I have juiced for sometime, just not really serious. We are going to juice, and juice only for 7-10 days

That's a lot of juice. Well done my man. I used to bring my juicer to Vegas with me to help balance out the trips. Now i hit the jamba juice first thing....if you are in a pinch for time, check out the new jamba juice fresh veggie juices, they are just rolling them out now so not all stores have them, but they are legit in terms of the ingredients and taste is good if you are used to drinking healthy juice. I am bullish on the stock given it has been beaten up until the last month or so, but they will report first earnings with the new juices in august. these healthy juices attract a more habitual consumer and they have priced them cheaper than the mom and pop juice shops that are popping up all over SoCal. They also accelerated the roll-out since they were doing well. The veggie harvest it good. I get the $50 of cards for $40 at Costco and then they have a loyalty program that gives $3 off for every $30 or $35.

Veggie Harvest

Take some apples. Then take some carrots, and beets, and supergreens, and ginger. Then take a minute to drink it all down and wonder how you ever got through your day without it.

[h=2]Grass Roots, A Juice Bar, Now Pouring In Downtown Vegas[/h]
View attachment 16994

The old John E. Carson motel has a ton of new life these days. Recently, Carson Kitchen, O Face Doughnuts, and Bud & Vine, a flower shop, have all sprung to life in the renovated space. Today, another new business joins the fold.

Grass Roots, an organic juice bar, made its debut bright and early at seven this morning. A menu features juices, smoothies, soups, desserts, salads, wraps and whole food bowls, much of it made with produce sourced both locally and regionally. There are also vegan, dairy free, and gluten-free selections, too. Prices range from $4.95 to $11.95.
Grass Roots will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Find it at the corner of 6th and Carson, just one block to the south of Commonwealth.

I have a vitamix it's a supercharged blender. Super easy to clean and pulverizes anything into liquid and you get the fiber unlike juicing. I blend up a huge container every morning kale, cucumber, ginger, parsleybee pollen, cacao seeds, bee pollen, small apple and pineapple. Then another one with just cucumber, limes and ginger to drink throughout the day. Went 17 days just drinking that lost about 20lbs and felt amazing.

i have the nutribullet (in addition to the breville). nutribullet is the cheaper smaller version of the vitamix. i go back and forth between having the extra fiber with the nutribullet vs. being able to get a lot more stuff in the blend with the juicer...end up liking the taste and consistency of juice more so i do that more often

damn....17 days is a long time! How long ago was that?

I am going to try and go a couple days...i am fine juicing stuff all day, but then i attack the fridge at night

Sounds familiar to me as well DNoonan!

I have used the Nutrabullet too. Am a little concerned how long that thing will run before blowing up?

Dnoonan that was a few months back. First few days was starving then I got a huge energy burst. Starting it back up full on now after taking a trip to Chicago and eating everything under the sun for two weeks. The Vitamix is the best but it's pretty pricey at over $400 bucks. but well worth it when you use it 3-4 times a day. Figured out what I was spending on smootihies every month and it was a no brainer. You can make blistering hot soup and ice cream in it. Pretty amazing machine.

No.... have not had any real problems. Don't use it right now as much as I intended to. Just seems to be showing some wear. I just need to recommit to the damn thing and see if it holds up.

Raoul - yes, have heard nothing but good things about it. My mom has one back east and digs it. I am going on a healthy kick as well. Bringing the breville (and one of my dogs) to vegas this week. Plan on trying to hit the whole foods and juicing for breakfast and lunch and then buffet or restaurant for dinner. Laying low the booze at night will be tough.

Cool. My wife does fresh spinach and frozen berries and maybe some yogurt or something for herself and the kids in the mornings and they seem to like it. I have been using the breville juicer...spinach, apples, ginger, pineapple, carrots, kale, etc
