Meghan McCain says "kiss my fat ass!"
Sen. John McCain's now famous daughter went on "The View" with a zinger in hand for conservative radio show host Laura Ingraham.
Daughter McCain is like Father McCain in that they don't shy away from a fight.
Daughter McCain, as followers know, blogged throughout her father's campaign. She also recently took to "The Daily Beast" saying that a father running for president does ZERO for a 20-something girl's love life. She also verbally tussled a bit with Ann Coulter and last week "urged" GOPers to "compromise" with Dems.
This knocked Ingraham off her seat a bit, and she reacted by declaring that Daughter McCain was "a valley girl gone awry" and a "plus-sized model." Ouch.
Then Daughter McCain went on "The View":

“What do young women think when I speak my mind about politics and I want to have a political discussion about the ideological future of the Republican Party, and the answer is, ‘She’s fat, she shouldn’t have an opinion.’ What kind of message are we sending young women?” she asked.

“It infuriates me,” she said. “I’m a political writer on a blog, and all of a sudden I’m too fat to write?”

Elizabeth Hasselbeck, the conservative on the show, came to Daughter McCain's defense, calling the remarks "a low blow."

McCain said she felt like Tyra Banks when the model “went on her show in her bathing suit and said, ‘Kiss my fat ass.’”

“That’s what I feel right now,” McCain said. “I’m like, ‘Kiss my fat ass!’”

Ingraham quickly responded to McCain once again on her show, telling McCain that she needs to learn to deal with satire and “teasing.”

“Can I say ‘lighten up,’ or is that offensive too?” Ingraham asked.

I heard Ms. Ingraham's riff on Ms. McCain, and all I can say is, Good God, Meaghan, lighten up indeed. You can't have it both ways. If you want to be a public figure, you should be able to take a little ribbing. You are a "plus" size, and that's not the same thing as being a "fat ass".

If you really want to get outraged, you should be yelling at the likes of Saturday Night Live and Jon Stewart. This is nothing compared to the way they hammered your dad and Sarah Palin.
