You better change your reservations to the golden corral

Just made me vomit in my mouth. If I knew how to post pictures during this I would. Already preparing my Super Bowl meal, beef tenderloin, some Hawaiian roles, green bean casserole.

I just fast and ask the lord to bless your 100/1 saints ticket then celebrate with a big Ruth’s Chris steak after and send shub pics

Mom fasting until those Saints win it...100/1 has my name all over it. Please lord let us take down the Vikes this weekend. Haha beef tenderloin is the plan, Shub the resident chef? I’d upload pics if I knew how.

Good luck losing the weight but not sure fasting is the best way to go about it especially if you want to keep it off. In my late 40's I also felt the serious need to lose 40 pounds or so. This is what worked for me. First year or so i gave up red meat, bought a food scale, kept a food diary detailing exactly what i ate and how many calories i consumed(tried to stay around 2000, i was 185 lbs), and started jogging. Second year became a vegetarian and kept up the running.Dropped 40-45 pounds over the first year or so and have kept it off for 7 years. I think the best things for me was the food diary and the running. Running became addictive. Started out doing just a few miles a week and I ended up doing 3 marathons and about 6 half marathons. For me eating something every couple hours seems a better way to go than fasting. Saw a nutritionist on the news the other day recommending eating the opposite of how most people eat. Largest meal should be in the morning, medium meal for lunch ,and smallest meal at dinner. Just need to find what works best for you and stick to it and allow yourself some "cheat" days. Good luck !

2 weeks is very plausible. I did it last March. Not to lose weight but begin the healing process. All I had during that 2 weeks was water. Your body will start to look for energy, after the first 8-12 hours it will look for it in your digestive track. It’s mostly waste by that point. Your body will then look to your muscle tissue for energy, not ideal. Once you pass the 3-5 day threshold, your body will then kick into starvation mode, taking your fat and converting into energy. Stored in your fat are essential nutrients. So now your getting water and nutrients that your body needs to survive. You’re also shutting down your digestive track and allowing your body to utilize that energy to detox and cleanse itself. It’s hard for the body to detox if you keep putting toxins in all day. The body is composed of trillions of cells that emit all types of waste, cellular waste, digestive waste and so on. Detoxing will help get rid of those things and cleanse your arteries, colon and everything else.

Post above from Shub is a good one. I gave up red meat long ago. Might have it once a year. (kidney disease is my issue). The really hard thing is dairy..Salt was easy to control.

Thanks for all the post guys. I guess I should clarify that I’m not doing this as some easy road to losing weight or anything like that. I’m 6’1 244 right now and losing 40 pounds would probably put me around 10% body fat would be my best guess. This is more of a how long can I last type deal and I picked the super bowl because there’s no way I’d want to go longer then that. It seemed like a good target date. I’m 3 hours into my day and have had a blended berries club soda with lime juice drink that I made for breakfast. So far so good!

Today went pretty well. Had a few blended drinks, some probiotic kale spinach smoothie thing that filled me up around lunch and some water with a diet limeade for dinner. In bed now. Day 1 is in the books.
