That would be awesome man...but I believe packers would have something in there that won't allow the jets to do so.

I would love to see favre beat the packers on MNF to open the season.

I'd have to assume the same and you have to think the Packers have thought of that. Probably what Brett is hoping for.

Trust me- if the Pack are going to ship out Favre, they will have ALL of their bases covered. Sports GMs are some of the smartest business people, and they would not allow for a situation where Favre ended up back in the NFC with a team they have to compete with.

Why all the love for Favre? He seems like a cool dude and all but he's constantly screwing with the team's future by retiring then coming back at the last second. He misses alot of training camp where the other guys are working hard, and he also messes up what the team is planning on doing without him. As much as he's done for the Pack in the past, he's hurt their future with his waffling the last couple years.

Even though Thompson said it will never happen, I kind of see Favre getting his release as more of a reality than a couple of weeks ago

I'd Rather Lose W/O Him

than win w/him. A Purple fan since the 60's!! I hope he stays in GB, so we can kick his ass on opening night.

Favre is a flawed hero, and that's it!! He's my kinda dude, and I think there's NO wrong he can do!! Did you SEE him throwing snowballs in the playoff game last year??? There's NOTHING like that in pro sports anymore!!
I hope he goes to some team and wins the Super Bowl and sticks it up everybody's ass!! We need more like him!!

They're still scrapin him off my stucco.

That is such BS. You Viking fans would give up your first born for Favre instead of Jackson.

It's called a "poison pill" provision and would be worded as such - Favre for second rounder, if favre is subsequently traded to an NFC North team, the compensation would be a first rounder for every game played in an NFC North stadium. It would never happen

You are truly an idiot if you believe this. Take a poll for Vikings fans only and see the results. It would be overwhelming against bringing Favre into Minnesota.
