Love is blind ! You have choosen to listen to and believe everything that your favorite idol says. There is nothing wrong with that as you are a great fan of his. However I stopped being a huge fan of Favre about 4 years ago when He started holding the Packer organization hostage every year with his BS maybe I am retired and maybe I'll be back. Never in the history of any sport that I can recall has anyone been such a self centered spoiled little brat. It's all about Favre.. screw the team. Well as far as I'm concerned like I already stated. " Don't let the door hit you in the A-s as you leave the NFL forever " Totally classless ! It's my opinion ! You have yours and that's your right.
Kermit, you're right on this one. Favre was given two chances last off-season to come back and when he changed his mind on the Packers' second offer, the team said, fine, good luck on your retirement, and gave Rodgers his shot. Then Favre's wife, mother and brothers got into him that the Packers had screwed him and he started believing it.
That is about the only friends Favre has these days. There isn't a player on the Packers that I know of that would call him a true friend, and I'm sure he never got to know any of the Jets.
The Packers now have a QB of the future, and the Jets are exactly where the Packers would have been had they kept Favre around last year. Plus the Packers have a third-round draft choice of the Jets.
He uses people to get what he wants--like all the ESPN clowns.
Great warrior on the field, but an fuckwad off of it.

You would think that being a self centered spoiled brat he would have acted like the rest of the spoiled brats in this league with holdouts for more money etc. since he was ALWAYS putting himself ahead and screwing the team. The superstar is always going to take a media hit when the media puts that superstar on the pedastal and thats the popular opinion for most of you to jump on. I'm not worried about some opinions out their that he has no friends anymore, thats a idiotic statement, basically you can really only go by the enthusiasm the team shows on the field when he is the QB. A smart person can't even ignore that ,even with the finger pointing Jets and the enthusiasm they showed this year ,and the lifeless Packers showed this year under Rodgers. Favre has no friends off the field, whatever, Favre and his leadership qualities ,I'll take over anyone.

I was a big fan of his and watched every down he played for GB. The organization and Ron Wolf made this guy. True, he was a warrior on the field but an ass off the field once he had some fame.

His schtick is over and GB will retire his number but not in the near future. There are still hard feeling on both ends. If he plays I believe it would be in Minn. to get back at GB. However, he will get his ass handed to him if that happens. GB will now be known for its D and do not be surprised for them to sign someone like Peppers.

As a true Favre fan you don't and will never get it ! His actions are and were very selfish for the last 4 years. His leaving the team in limbo until after the draft regarding his playing status was nothing but bush league in most peoples view. However big Favre fans thought that was just fine. I'm tired of his act and He will never be one of my all time favorite people ! Awesome HOF player but a selfish spoiled brat IMHO. My feelings have nothing to do with others opinion whether it be media, fans or fellow players. I wish him well in his latest retirement ... just go away this time.

He is the Barry Bonds of football. His own office and locker room away from the team. What kind of teammate is that? Nobody is bigger than the game.

I guess their is no way to convince you that Favre's biggest problem is he just had a hard time deciding to whether to play or not, wow what a huge crime. Some of these comments i hear just don't make much sense to me. Like , he is holding the team hostage. Hostage over what, more money ?don't ever remember him having a contract issue or holding team hostage for more money, hostage over what ?? selfish spoiled brat over what ? you really think he was just leaving the team in limbo on purpose, whats to gain with that, he isn't getting anything or asking more while deciding whether to play or not. I guess its not possbile for anyone to imagine at all that he was having a hard time deciding to play or not. Thats impossible to think that , but easy to think he was doing it on purpose !! That kind of thinking is irrational !!

Yeah from what I understand Jordan wasn't liked all that well on his team either. All I can go by is the excitement players are having while he is the QB on that team, and that inccludes the Jets

Once again... You see Favre's side on every single issue. You don't see anything wrong with Favre playing his... I might retire... and then not telling the Packers until after the player draft is held for 4 straight years ?
Quit trying to convince me that Favre is a great guy ! He's your Hero.. not mine ! Go ride your tractor into the Sunset Favre !:toast:

Once again your looking at things anti-Favre and no mention of pathetic defense down the stretch, just finger pointing

More realistic to think Favre just was toying with Packers on purpose with no legitimate reason to do so, then the possiblity of him just having a hard time making up his mind at all to play. BTW , during those 4 years the PACKERS told him wait and think about what he wants to do, not the other way around as you state it, with the exception of last year

Quite humorous how you like to now mention Jets poor defense down the stretch but somehow the Packers poor season is all Rogers fault when anyone who isn't a Favre lover will know that the Packers big downfall this year was their pathetic defense. You and I both had future wagers on the Packers and you know full well that the biggest reason for the Packer downfall was their defense. Once again by most peoples standards, Rogers had a better year at QB than
Favre. Rogers QB rating of 91.8 to the mighty Favre's 81 attests to that fact. Also I really don't see where Favre really did much to help the Jets future overall as now they have to start all over at the QB position and in the Favre QB fiasco, they lost Chad Pennington who had a fabulous year. Keep your blinders on when it comes to your love affair with Favre.

Pennington had his chance with Jets and failed miserbly !!!!!! Like I said in earlier Post, come back in here with the Rodgers crap when he engineers a 4th qtr comeback or leads the team to a playoff spot instead of a meaningless QB rating that means nothing. Troy Akimon says the same BTW. Jets didn't give up alot of future to get Favre sorry to say, but got rid of a QB that was worthless for years. Thats why he was let go. Despite everything jets improved from 4-12 to 9-7 not exactly horrific considering tougher division then Packers and on paper alot worse team then Packers. These are facts even with blinders on Pal

Wow ! You really are in love with Favre ! Saint Favre !

Wish you could come in here with a legit argument with Favre holding team hostage instead of following the Posters obsessive slam. Tell me again how he was holding the team hostage even though he had a great relationship with team ? Contract ? Starting role ? Playing time ? It had to be something besides a generic statement that he was holding team hostage. Do you think it was remotely possible that he was having hard time making up his mind to play at his age ? Can your next post be something better then a generic post that Favre did this or did that but with some substance or facts this time ? thanks
