Ive seen Ricky Williams ranked 1st in many mocks.....

My early wish list:

QB: McNabb should be great here. Like Kitna as a sleeper. Plummer should be a solid pick in the middle rounds. Vick will be good but will probably be taken earlier than he should be.

RB: R. Williams is the man here, should be #1 overall pick. Think Travis Henry and Faulk are both also very solid and will be slightly underrated. Will probably stay alway from Priest.

WR: Think Price will do well with the change in location. I don't spend too much time thinking about recievers...past the top 15 or so, there are a lot of average players. Always a lot of surprises here also.

Daunte Culpepper? Are you crazy? He is not the best fantasy QB in the league. He might not even be in the Top 5. I would take Bledsoe, Gannon, Manning, Garcia and Brooks over him any day of the week.

You should deal with facts and not biased opinions. Culpepper is easily a top 5 quarterback, if not the best.

Daunte Culpepper FACTS:

-Rated 16th in the NFL in Passing TD's

-Rated #1 however in INT's with 23

-QB Rating of 75.3 let me put it this way, he got beat by Kitna, Redman heck the whole league practically.

-He does score quite a bit with his feet though.

In my oppinion he is not a top 5 fantasy QB, that is just my oppinnion. I have absolutely nothing against him.

I won't be picking a quarterback in the first round this year. Their was a glut of productive Q.B.'s last year, and runningbacks were more valuable. You could even let your Q.B. pick slip to the third round and do well. I suppose this logic won't hold up if you're playing in a large league, but if you're in a 5 or 6 team leauge there's bound to be quality quarterback sleepers that wil be available as free agants after week 1.

I'm not sure what qb rating has to do with fanatsy football. Yes, it could be a sign of things to come but so could his excellent qb rating his first year, when they were actually a decent team, like they will be this year.

And, he was just one touchdown from the leaders (with 28) overall. You have to count his rushing touchdowns as well. They all count and the rushing touchdowns actually count more than the passing touchdowns, making them even more important.

He has better numbers after three years than Favre or Elway. His winning percentage isn't as good but that is either because he doesn't lead as well or his teams were simply much worse.

Those are the facts! I bleed Green & Gold and despise the Queens but the numbers are what they are. Plain and simple.

Can you honestly say, with a straight face, that he is not a top five quarterback? If you can't go by numbers, what do you go by?

I would take a running back in the first round, simply because I think quarterbacks are pretty even from top to bottom.

In other words, if you are in a 12 team league that requires one quarterback and two running backs, the gap between the first quarterback and the 12th quarterback is smaller than the gap between the first running back and the 24th running back.

Having said that, if running backs are the first pick, I think this year is very interesting. Last year, Faulk was the first choice of just about everybody. Based on last year, Holmes should be BUT he has injury questions. Of course, Williams could be a first choice and Tomlinson and Portis could be justified as number one picks. There is no consensus, which should make for a very interesting draft.

I agree with your Williams pick. He should only get more touches this year. I like Harrison but I'm pretty partial towards running backs early on.

I DEFINATELY RESPECT YOUR OPINIONS.
YOU ARE CORRECT WITH QB'S GOING EARLY, AND THEIR SHOULD BE SOME DECENT BACKS LEFT LATER.
PRIEST AND MARSHALL ARE SORT OF QUESTIONABLE CALLS BEING TAKEN TOO EARLY WITH REGARDS TO THEIR HEALTH.
I TOOK COREY DILLON AND TRAVIS HENRY RESPECTIVELY LAST YEAR AND GOT A HUGE BOOST
FROM HENRY AND SORT OF A LET DOWN WITH DILLON.
HOWEVER, I WOULDN'T BE SUPRISED TO SEE THEM FLIP FLOP THEIR PRODUCTION THIS YEAR.
I HAVE A FEELING PENNINGTON MAY HAVE A MONSTER
YEAR THIS YEAR. THAT IS WHY I PLAN TO PICK HIM AS MY 2ND QB.

My advice: If you pass on LT in the first round, you'll be sorry. This time next year he will be the concensus #1.

If you have him in a keeper league, you'll be a contender for years to come.

Chad Johnson-WR Bengals. He was a stud over the last part of the year and and helped all 3 of my teams reach the championship. Only 1 pulled out a win though. Apparently he has been a workout warrior over the summer and has been in Cincy the whole time.

I usually try and pick RB's with my first 2 picks, I am in a heavy RB weighted league though. Shockey would be my first WR/TE pick after that, the rest depends on how the draft is shaping up, if the run is on QB's in the 2nd/3rd round then.....

you guys obviously don't penalize for throwing INT's. I had Culpepper in a league that subtracted 3 for an int and 6 for an int returned for a TD. Culpepper was very, very inconsistant. Sure, he had a week or two with 4 TD's and a shitload of yards, but he cost me more than a few weeks. Given the right spot I would take him again only because of his potential, but another thing is I hate the Vikes and it's hard to root for the enemy!

partyboy - The points I showed were from a league that penalized quarterbacks one point for every interception. We didn't get penalized points for an interception returned for a touchdown. He led all quarterbacks in scoring.

As for inconsistency, you are wrong. Look at games last year, for each quarterback, that they scored less than 15 points in.
