Yankee fans are on pins and needles waiting to hear if one of the biggest games of the year could be a washout.

After a 22-year career with the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter is scheduled to play his final home game on Thursday night. However, a forecast that calls for rain is threatening to ruin the party.

Since the Yankees haven’t made the playoffs this year, Jeter will likely never again get to play at Yankee Stadium if the game is cancelled.

Did you expect it to end any other way?

No rain and the captain gets a game winning RBI.

There ain't no stage big enough for this guy.

Yeah, that was a meatball.

Maybe the Red Sox will let him do that too.....then again, maybe they won't.

Haha.....

Can you imagine?.....high and tight to Jeter in his last at bat and he ducks into it and gets a black eye......that's just wrong.....funny but wrong.

Jeter never would have gotten a chance to give the Yankees a 6-5 victory against the Baltimore Orioles if teammate David Robertson hadn't blown a save opportunity by squandering a three-run lead in the top of the ninth. The irony of Robertson's rare but timely poor outing was not lost on Mariano Rivera, a former teammate of both who was not above giving Robertson the business — as you can see in the Vine above:
