Right I couldn't forgive myself if I tried to middle this and Tenn wins. You bet games for a reason and if your up at halftime you generally are doing well. I could hedge with virtually all of my bets: NE, STL, DET OVER and Tenn are all on pace to cover better (well NE is on pace to win by 6, but the 2nd half line is 6.5 which is my number). But opting out of a winning bet is a bad move.
I have a buddy that middles and live bets everything.
If you handicap a game, its for the full 60 minutes. Yes, you can middle and save a loss. You can also throw away a win.
Rarely do I hedge unless its a very large middle, or if I see a game that is played one way but the score is another.
