In case you are unfamilar with what I do here:

Basically what I do here is pick a team to bet or fade for a pre-determined amount of games.. No flat betting, unit amounts may and most likely will vary.. Also "NOT" limited to betting MLs, I will sometimes wager on RL and -1's..

This is a solid idea. I'm a firm believer in focusing on a certain team or situation. How did you decide on fading Pittsburgh and all the past teams you've done?

One thing I look for is teams who are either under or over ACHEIVING. I'm a believer of law of averages..

Also have to look at their schedule as well and make sure its not too easy if you're fading or hard if you're following..

I think the best thing about doing this, is learning about the team(s) and getting a good feel for them down the road as well.. Also you can change your bet size up or down to help maximise potential profits..

The Royals would have been a good fade a few weeks ago.

So how do you guage, still fairly early in the season, if a team is over-achieving? Pittsburgh might be improved.

Well my wagers are smaller early in the season so it balances it out.. I wager more as the season progesses and a have a better feel for the teams..

I don't think the Pirates are that improved.. They won 67 games last season and I see them winning no more than 73-74 games this season.
