On the other side of that coin, play on teams who have come off a big upset as dogs on the road and come back home as dogs again the next week. There is a game out there like that this week. But uncle GoSooners is going to give you a homework assignment and make you look it up...
They possibly could be looking forward to Maryland. But I think Villanova took them to OT last week. So they probably aren't taking anything for granted. CMU looked pretty good last week, though they really didn't play anybody. But they were still the dogs in that game. Being big road favorites isn't exactly in Cuse's wheelhouse. The last game they covered by this number on the road is Akron way back in 2010. So I'm at least considering CMU here. I don't really see many games like this throughout the year that fits this trend. Maybe a half a dozen games. My magic 8-ball is saying "Chippewa"? You think the Cuse could be more focused on upcoming Maryland?
Figures... None of the games seem to be moving my way this week. Some pretty sharp lines. Cuse only had 320 total yards in that 2 OT win last week. Like I said this is kind of a rare road chalk game for them. I would like to see if CMU gets back their stud WR Davis this week before pulling the trigger on this game.I see someone took out the 7s, down to +6.5 for CMU with early % on the dog.
There's no doubt that USC can beat the breaks off of BC, the question is will they be motivated enough to do so? USC is riding high right now, coming off their win over Stanford on national TV. Now they travel across country to take on a lowly BC team that everyone saw looked terrible in that Friday night ESPN game against Pitt. So in terms of public perception you have one team everyone is in love with and another that nobody wants to touch with a 10ft pole, plus the fact that BC has a little extra time to prepare as well. Guess I'm trying to talk myself into BC, but its kind of hard to do with only 9 returning starters and an experience ranking of #127. In my notes while watching the Pitt game I wrote down, "BC QB stinks" lol probably trying to just have something to keep me off them in the future. I made the line SC -21, so not a whole not of line value there as the line opened around -19. Appears this is scheduled as a prime time ESPN game so we know there should be decent public action on USC, however looks like there already has been some RLM there with line down to 17(70+% on SC) so I would keep an eye on that line and the betting % and if it holds up let the invisible hand of the betting market be your guide.
