mighty - do me a favor. don't submit to any urinalysis - for you will NEVER pass it. you are so high on drugs it ain't funny. sorry to tell you this - but the spurs/lakers series was for the nba title. lakers won the series - will walk over the timberpuppies or kings and then the WNBA champ (the (l)eastern conference chump).

Twolves finally escaped 1st Rnd, but have yet to get out of this 2nd Rnd yet, there will be a Gm-7..and the Kings are as savvy an NBA Roadie as there has been the last three years.

Stern needs a few Game 7's this next midweek..Kings and Heat force them?..Pistons misfire again in Jersey.

Horseshoe, always enjoy your posts, I do have to say that I am not a Stern conspiracy advocate though. IMHO the games are played and there is no way to control games like last night's Nets-Pistons or game 5 Lakers-Spurs. Again just my opinion.

Wil, I just throw that out there tongue-and-cheek? And like yourself think one creates their own luck or destiny.

I sometimes come off as a conspiracy theorist, as to make notice of the crazy fluctuations in calls by the refs from game to game, yet was livid at Jordan getting calls versus Utah in Finals & also swore off watching the NBA for a few years after Portland @LA Gm-7 in '00.

Wil, great call on Tarver, as I thought winning possible/not probable, & by knockout in same weight class near-impossible..WOW.

I hate the Lakers more than anyone and lost my Spurs' future in their defeat by Lakers.
But, no way they have an excuse for losing 5th game to Lakers. If you can't defend for .4(or .5 or .6) seconds to win a game you don't deserve it.
Also, I think Pop made a mistake throughout the Series by not using Rose and Willis more.
Seems they went with finesse over energy totoo great a degree this year. Those two guys were instrumental off the bench last year in winning Title and were essentially ignored this time.
Of course, if they defend a shot for .4 or hit a few more FT's none of that would have mattered. Give credit to the Lakers...damned them!

The Lakers gave the Spurs respect here and treated them like the better team. They changed their whole gameplan. Usually, when teams beat the Lakers, it is because well coached teams double and triple Shaq and Kobe, and let the rest of the Laker staff try to win. This time the Lakers did this to the Spurs Duncan and Parker, and only Devon Brown responded for the Spurs.

Also, the lakers should thank Devon George more for game 5 for punishing the Spurs for those double and triple teams.
