Let us take a moment to recall the good ole days when the fine lady of cyber money transfer known as Neteller was at our service. Her service was fantastic and efficient.
Earlier today I sent a moneygram to a book, like I have done many times before without a problem. When speaking with the book, I later discover that I mixed up the receiver code. Instead of putting 1234, I had put down 1324. All other information was correct like account number etc.
Book tells me to call moneygram and have them redirect to proper receiver code number. And book wants me to fax them copy of moneygram. I call moneygram and talk with some supervisor. Between her lack of communication skills and poor reception on my end, I apparently didn't say the write answers. The woman basically accuses me of trying to commit fraud. I try to tell her it's just a matter of simply changing the two numbers around in the receiver code. I wasn't trying to change account number or anything else. Fucking bitch tells me I have to go to a moneygram merchant and have them call moneygram to verify my ID.
First I stopped by FedEX to fax the book my moneygram receipt. Next stop was Wal-Mart customer no-service hell. Apparently people have designated Friday night as the return broken crap night. I had to wait freakin 45 minutes. I was afraid I would be mauled by a tiger before I got out of there. The woman calls up moneygram and verifies it is me who is trying to change the receiver code. Moneygram says I should contact them on Tuesday about this matter.
Sorry for making this into a novel, but I am slightly frustrated. It only seems like I have been dealing with this for countless hours. Anywho, I call up the book to confirm they got my fax. Nope, "we haven't received your fax, sir." I read back the fax number from my FedEx receipt and it's correct. Now I am out the door to send another fax into what will probably end up being another corner of cyber purgatory. My date for Friday night turns out to be an exercise in futility. And she don't put out!
