Explain this VT/UVA line!

VT getting 1.5???

I'll spare my "ranked opponent against 'less' opponent getting points away loses" speech, but someone help me out here. VT has 2 losses away from home against solid opponents (WV and Pitt) and put up 8-3 record and is ranked #21. Meanwhile UVA is 6-5 overall and 4-1 at home (wins against mediocre teams: GT, WF, dook and Troy state). I realize it's a rivalry game, but VT comes in to this one w/ a 4 game series win streak.

someone try and talk me out of taking VT and the points!

it won't be me ... I like the Hokies in this one as well
if for no other reason that Va Tech being a "rushing stat" play and having, as you pointed out, a psychological edge in having won 4 straight!

The streak goes to 5 games here .....

i will try

to me - VA is the better team - tech is once again overrated. they are in the middle of their annual swoon.

to me - VA is looking to make amends for a lenghty losing streak - and does it here! this game means nothing for tech - for it won't affect their bowl bid at all.

this is a great game to watch - and even better result for those holding a VA ticket!

Two of VTs losses have come in their last 3 games. The third game was 1-one OT win @ lowly Temple. The run D has been pitiful. Virgin's RB-Lundy should get some yards and Virginia has the far superior QB in Schaub.

VT may win this game, but the line seems about right.

If this game is close comes down to
field goals huge advantage UVa.
Conner Hughes > 90% all tries 3 @ 50 +.
Carter Worley struggles at any distance.
I don't think either team will stop the run,
should be a good one.

this game screems a UVA victory...i have watched uva closely this year and with the exception of the south carolina loss (without schaub) all loses were 1-2 plays away from wins...uva could/should be 9-2/10-1 easily...take uva at home for a solid winner
