Exchanging US money for other currency

Where's the best place to do this? Bank, Airport etc? My father exchanged about $10k US in poland into polish money and deposited it into a bank account there about a year or 2 ago and the rate was about 3-1 then. Now the rate is better than 2-1 so if he wanted he could exchange it back to US money and he would make a nice profit. I want to do this myself since the US dollar keeps going down, I feel like my money is slowly burning. Would changing it into Euro's be better than Polish money?

Keeping foreign currency on a small scale (ie less than a few million USD) can be profitable, but rarely is. Once you're done with the fees to convert it back & forth, you'll be making a small percentage and would probably be better off investing the money somewhere else

europe and the euro have their own host of problems....obviously better then the u.s. but i would be thinking swiss franc if i wanted to solid currency

Somebody told me that If I exchange money at Logan there's no currency exchange fee. Is this true?

if your not paying a fee for currency exchange that means something is wrong

I got 292 euro this morning for $500 at the airport. Works out to $1.66 + fees for each euro. Horrible.

I would say you are about 4 years too late to short the US dollar.
