$600.00 #227 Cincinnati (-3) over Seattle (4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30)
Ace

People keep refusing to believe that this Bengals team could be for real in the AFC North. Pittsburgh and Baltimore have both been shaky but the Bengals have been consistent and have come to play each week. Cincinnati has one of the league's best defenses. Seattle could only score three points last week against the Browns. I think that the rested Bengals will be able to pick up right where the Browns left off and shut Seattle down. Charlie Whitehurst keeps showing us why he is just a backup quarterback and the Seahawks actually miss Tarvaris Jackson. It would have been very easy for the books to make the Bengals an underdog here out of respect for Seattle's home field edge. But they didn't and that tells me that the books see a big gap in talent here because if you adjust for Seattle's home field they are saying that Cincinnati is at least a touchdown better. I agree with that. Cincinnati is 8-1 ATS in its last nine games overall and 4-0 ATS on the road. They will win this one outright and cover easily.

$500.00 Take #226 San Francisco (-8.5) over Cleveland (4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30)
Coach Jim Harbaugh really has this San Francisco team believing in itself. This may seem like a lot of points to lay but the last time that the 49ers were playing at home they won 48-3 against a Tampa Bay team that won 10 games last year. Cleveland held the ball for over 43 minutes at home last week and they could only score six points. If they are that inefficient on offense this week they will get blown out by halftime. Going back to the preseason Cleveland is just 1-6-2 ATS and this is still a team that isn't very good. I like the rested home favorites to lay the wood.

$800.00 Take #220 Buffalo (-6) over Washington (4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30)
The Redskins have one of the worst quarterback situations in football. Now they are going on the road against a very good Buffalo team that is very confident right now. The Bills have had two weeks to prepare for this game and as you can tell from my selections this week I think that the teams coming off the bye week are going to perform very well. The Bills are playing this game in Toronto. But because they have gotten off to a fast start I think that a lot of fans will make the trip and that Buffalo will have a home field edge in this one. They are also more familiar with playing in this stadium (this is their fourth year playing here) and I don't think it will bother them. The Redskins are getting banged up on defense and their offensive line and depth is a big problem. They also lost their No. 1 running back and their No. 1 receiver last week and that leaves their bad quarterbacks with even fewer weapons to work with. None of that is a very good sign and I expect Washington to make it four losses in five weeks. Their only two wins since Week 2 have come against Arizona and St. Louis and those wins are not impressive when you consider those teams are a combined 1-11.

$2500.00 Take #223 New England (-3) over Pittsburgh (4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30)
This is my NFL Game of the Month and it is from the 411 System.
This line says it all! The Patriots are favored on the road against the defending AFC Champions. Why is that? It is because New England has been a better team so far this year and that Pittsburgh is not what they seem. This Steelers team looks old and looks disorganized and injuries and poor offensive line play have really held them back this year. The Steelers barely beat bad teams like Jacksonville and Indianapolis this year. And they have lost their only two meaningful games against good teams (Baltimore and Houston). Pittsburgh has a revenge spot with Baltimore next week. Not that they would look past the Patriots but there is no doubt that Ravens game means more to Pittsburgh's playoff aspirations. New England has had two weeks to prepare. And if you give Tom Brady and Bill Belichick extra time to prepare we have seen them dominate teams in the past. New England's only loss this year was at Buffalo and they were leading 21-0 in that game. They have dominated good teams like San Diego, Oakland, the Jets and Dallas. They have proven to be the stronger team and this line is spot on. New England is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings and they are 6-1 ATS in their last seven trips to Pittsburgh. Brady has had Pittsburgh's number and I think that he beats them again here and we collect big in the process.

$2000.00 Take #229 Dallas (+3.5) over Philadelphia (8:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30)
This play is from my NFL 411 System. The Cowboys are a team that could be 5-1 right now or even 6-0. They have looked like a very focused team under Jason Garrett and I believe they know how important this game is. Philadelphia is off a bye week but the stories out of their camp have not been good. They were unsuccessful in trying to trade some players and some veterans were not happy about being put out on the market. The Eagles have been very sloppy with the ball this year and turnovers continue to plague this team. I think that will be the case again this week against one of the best defenses in football. Dallas has won its last two trips to Lincoln Financial Field and they have covered five straight meetings (four outright wins). All of my rankings have them grading out as the better team in this game and these points are just too good to pass up. I think that the Dream Team is going to disappoint its backers once again and this overrated Philadelphia team will either lose outright or fail to beat this number. Take the Cowboys here.

best to all
