$600.00 -105 Take #412 Washington (+3) over Atlanta (1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7)
I am going to bet with the sharp money on this one. The public is all over Atlanta. But this Washington team is really playing better. They won a tough game on the road last week at Tampa Bay and now they are playing just their second home game of the season. The home crowd should give them a big boost. Atlanta is in a letdown spot. They drove from their own one-yard line down the field and kicked a game-winning field goal to beat Carolina last week. That was a key divisional win. But the Falcons are now 4-0 and the public is all over them. I am going to go the other way.

$2000.00 even Take #414 Pittsburgh (-3.5) over Philadelphia (1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7)
This play is from my NFL 411 System.

This will be a tough battle in the Keystone State. But Pittsburgh has had two weeks to prepare. And at just 1-2 they need this game more than the Eagles do. Philadelphia has won three of four games. But all three wins have come at the last second. I don't think they will get away with that here against a very veteran Pittsburgh team. The home team has won five of six in this series, going back to 1991, and I think that being in Heinz Field definitely gives the Steelers the edge. The Eagles didn't look good on the road at Cleveland or at Arizona this year. Pittsburgh welcomed back some key players like James Harrison and Troy Polamalu for this week's game. That should give the defense a big boost that it needs. The books had to move this line off the 3.0 and that was a big moment. The books don't like to come off the key number of 3.0. My system likes the Steelers this week and that is who I am going with.

$600.00 -108 Take #425 Seattle (+3) over Carolina (4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7)
I think that the wrong team is favored here. Seattle played well but couldn't put points on the board at St. Louis last week. I think they will have much more success against a reeling Carolina defense. The Panthers were blown out at home by New York in their last game in Charlotte and then last week they lost a heartbreaker to division rival Atlanta. I expect those two losses to carry over into this game. This game has a 4 p.m. start time. That is a big advantage to Seattle because it takes away the advantage the home team had with the time differential. The Panthers are just 1-3 this year and all the high hopes that they had to start the year are gone. Seattle has the No. 2 defense in football and will be able to frustrate the home team. I like Seattle to win this one outright.

$2000.00 -110 Take #427 Chicago (-4.5) over Jacksonville
This play is from my NFL 411 System

The Bears looked great on Monday Night Football. I think that they are going to have little trouble keeping it going against the Jaguars. Chicago's only loss this year came on a short week on the road against Green Bay. Jacksonville's only win this year was a come-from-behind win at lowly Indianapolis. The Jaguars have been outgained in every game they have played this year and they do not have enough offense to crack Chicago's tough defense. The sharp money and the public money is coming down on the Bears and there is great reason for it. The Jaguars are still trying to learn new systems on offense and defense. They do not look comfortable and haven't been effective. The Jaguars won't have much of a home field advantage here. Jacksonville is just 5-16 ATS against a team with a winning record and Chicago is a solid 5-2 ATS in a game following a blowout win by two touchdowns or more. Take Chicago here.

$800.00 -105 Take #420 Minnesota (-5.5) over Tennessee (1 p.m., *Sunday,
Oct. 7)
This Vikings team is still being undervalued by the books. I think Minnesota
is going to be able to beat up the Titans just like Houston was able to
beat up *the Titans last week. Tennessee has gotten crushed in both of its
road games at *Seattle and at Houston. They lost those two games by a
combined score of 76-24! *The Titans also lost their starting quarterback
and now they are going with Matt *Hasselbeck, who is past his prime. The
Vikings have a Top 10 defense that should *be able to shut down the visitors
once again. And I expect another strong *rushing game from the home team
against Tennessee's No. 27 ranked rushing *defense. Look for a double-digit
win by the home team
