Former Tennessee Titans and New York Jets running back Chris Johnson is in stable condition after he was shot in the shoulder during a drive by shooting in Florida.
According to police, Johnson was one of three people shot in the incident, which occurred at 4 a.m. Sunday in Orlando. The shooting killed one man, identified as 28-year-old Dreekius Johnson, and the third victim, 30-year-old Reggie Johnson, was shot in his shoulder, hand and leg. He is also in stable condition.
Chris and Reggie told investigators they were at a red light when the suspects pulled alongside them in an unknown vehicle and opened fire into their Jeep.
So far, no arrests have been made in what police are calling a homicide investigation.
Chris was released by the Titans in April 2014, then signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Jets. The team announced he will not be back with them this year after appearing in all 16 regular season games in the 2014 season.
