totally get the frustration, it does feel unreal how one person can have that kind of pull, could be a mix of personality, timing, networks, and institutions all lining up, not necessarily divine or purely solo power
people underestimate how much media, money, and motivated groups can amplify someone, and that combo can make them feel invincible to supporters and impossible to undo for opponents
