I want to declare that whatever anyone may think of me or my opinion......

Please share with me in hardy congratulations to Betall for his efforts (quite obviously) to start threads that are sports betting related and stand to bring this childlike nursery back on point as a sports forum.

Best wishes Buddy and I hope it works.

I have realized that real players just don't have much chance anymore. It is just not like it used to be when books and casinos were willing to take real ACTION and not pout, limit, and cut-off players.

But still, if newbies want to learn, and the rest of us want to learn from one another...... we can't benefit that much by learning a new recipe for meatloaf or whatever crap someone will come up with next.

Thanks for your effort to point things back more in the direction of sports gambling!

I count six brand new threads started by Betall that are centered on sports betting related matters.

I know my strong heart-felt feeling about the demise of books and casinos being willing to gamble..... I know it shows through.

Let me get my thoughts together and I will help promote this effort back to the subject of sports wagering as well.

Yeah good threads by BAS today for sure ...but...

I didnt have a problem with the off topic threads. I guess the Sterling threads got a little out of hand (mostly b/c of poly forum guys) and the nimrod with the race threads over and over again was a little much ..... but i love the "whos your favorite guitar player" or "whats your favorite candy bar" threads.

Hopefully theres enough room for everything here.

Hey Ty.....

I have been one to have problems with some of those threads mixed in with sports betting info. But......

I am probably wrong. I am older, have witnessed far too many changes (for the worse) in sports betting, and even been cut off by books.

There are days I let some of my history get involved with my judgment. I remember when this forum was entirely a different place. Much more discussion about "real" sports betting. But sometimes I forget..... that was back in the days when you could move tens of thousands off shore if you wanted to. And, more importantly, expect to be able to bring it back home when the time came. You could also get down in Vegas for amounts that are not even thought about today. I mean without using beards and the whole works.

I was able to play 30 to 40K on just a simple regular season MLB game in easy walking distance of the Mirage...... by myself and not even break a sweat. God I miss those good old days. When men were men and books were real books.

But time marches on and I do appreciate the efforts to bring this joint back in line to talk a little more sports.

Agree, the gambling threads are nice. I'll save the 'do you prefer yellow or brown mustard' for tomorrow.

I still like the mix of subjects, but a few sports gambling threads should be a daily thing.

I'm confused. ..

Do we need to bump so many other Sports - related threads that got ignored???

Hopefully this is a new beginning and everyone who says there aren't and sports and/or gambling threads will start noticing them more and interacting...

There are only so many meaningful sports threads you can post imo. It's nice to bullshit here and there on unrelated topics. I admits some of them are silly, but if you don't like the topic don't read it. Also, don't bitch unless you are making an effort to change it. Otherwise you just come across as a bitch.

Ehhh I didagree justin.

There's plenty of sports - threads & BAS is doing what he and some of us have always done, but for some reason today it took packer to point them put to everyone.

Makes me wonder if he hadn't created this thread if those threads would gave been ignored like so often. ..

This is true, if I had to guessamate I would say 60% of the sports related threads gets next to no reply

just saying

Hey Hache........ and Bet

I would have made this post regardless of numbers of responses. I really do appreciate you guys efforts to keep this joint somewhat focused on sports betting.

Here's the real "elephant in the room" as they say..... and he is a big-assed stinky elephant in this case....

Only very, very few posters on here would know a REAL sports bet if it walked up and kicked them in the nuts. Most posters seem like young kids pretending to be players and most of what they say is such a waste of bandwidth. But.... even though it is hard to carry on a meaningful thread about REAL sports betting.... even when lots of the posts are childish and weak...... at least we are on the RIGHT SUBJECT!

There is only so much sports we can talk about, especially in the off seasons, hockey is over, basketball is over, football is over. The hypothetical threads get old kind of fast ex: "is Shaq better than Wilt" everyone has their opinion, will throw a few stats but really what do those have to do with gambling either?
With only Baseball and World Cup right now. For guys that do not watch either, or, only one of those sports. It is nice to stay active on the forum with off topic threads. Its either that or disappearing in the off-season, which I think no activity would just hurt the forum worse
