1. No not now, but I had a good friend in college who was the son of one of the Shah's Cabinet ministers
2. Independent, but identify more with Green than the others
3. No, but that is irrelevant now
4. Yes, want them to be safe and their families needs taken care of
5. Yes, of course, but end how? withdrawal, surrender, victory...occupation?

I certainly want the killing to stop. I want our brave young men and women to be safe. I hold the elected officials responsible for condoning a very reckless policy of pre-emptive invasion with Bush's advisors being the most culpable, but at the same time I hold the Hussein Regime and their criminal cadre of oppressors as being primarly responsible for this, I just feel that there were other ways we could have acheived the end objective, Saddam's removal and the end to the Iraqi people's oppression, without alienating the entire Arabic world.

1. I have one acquaintance who is Iraqi, I wouldn't call us friends. He is older and left that country many years ago.

2. Other, more like non-classifiable. In my lifetime I have voted for both Ronald Reagan and Ralph Nader, among many others.

3. No

4. The phrase seems to be used as a hotbutton to try to control people; also see my posted piece on one ex-vet's feelings about that phrase. I am opposed to our soldiers dying for oil and global domination in a phoney war. I would like to see us withdraw now and spare as many lives as possible on both sides.

The police, firemen, guardsmen, et al who laid it on the line during 911 are heros in my mind and I would always support those "troops" 1000 percent.
Ditto for soldiers who are actually defending my country, not being used as pawns to prosecute an unjust war. Many will be scarred for life from having to kill innocent civilians, which is not a problem in a defensive war.

1. My best friend is a Gay Bengali. His family is Muslim, but if they knew about that they'd probably disown him. Needless to say hes not very religious. (or Arab, now that I think of it.) I'm also friends with 2 Egyptians and a Pakistani.

2. I vote Democrat as our simplistic voting system rewards those who vote against their fears instead of voting for their hearts. In a better system I would vote for a much more leftist party.

3. NO

4. No, I don't support what the troops are doing now. It doesn't mean I hate them, or that I wouldn't be grateful when they did things to actually protect me (which I'm sure they do, I supported the fight in afghanistan, for instance).

I look at it like living in a small town where the local Sheriff molests his daughter. Do I support everything he does?? Of course not! His daughter is being molested! Thats wrong! However, when he saves my general store from bandits, I'm mighty pleased with him.

so predictable, dodging the question, yet you post and post your narrow-minded, one-sided garbage.
