Brett favre has announced he will stay retired, and there is still a player prop up on bookmaker if he will play for vikings, and i just booked no at +250!!!!! Max bet on this prop is $100, so hopefully i just banked the easiest $250 of my life!!! No has just dropped from -450 to -380 and counting!!! Gogogogogoooooooooooooooooo !!!!!

i actually am not so sure about that... it is brett favre, they wudve taken it down by now before the line moved 400 cents... im sure they figure he can still come back in the next few weeks or even mid season... you never know with favre

the guy is a whack job and could easily change his mind then what?

the book had to know at some time the announcement would be made so..

i would like to see the wording on this prop?

did they have something like all bets are void when official announcement is made

that is what I would guess to .... they will look at the time you bet it and when he announced it IMO but who knows

on the player prop page it said will he play for the vikings in the regular season... it listed no requirements of the player playing any games for action so i dont think they mean "if he plays, will the team he plays for be the vikings" because there was another prop about how many times the packers will sack favre during the regular season this year and it specifically listed that favre must play at least one regular season game for action to take place

Any sportsbook always has the right to cancel any bet they wish whether there is wording or not and Bookmaker, particularly, has been getting tighter and tighter and won't be pleased with this I can assure you. It would not surprise me if they cancel all wagers made today.

then don't post these type of props. or put wording in the prop that says any bets made after a public announcement is made will be voided. i have seen that wording in props before

Understood. However, read the Rules and Regulations of any Offshore Sportsbook and they usually have a clause allowing them to make final determination of any wager. Since this is a small amount, Bookmaker most likely will pay it, however, whenever players take a shot like this and catch a book in a slow move, if the amount is much larger, they can and will cancel wagers.
